So, question, if I purchase the $40 license, can I distribution my music to tiktok/facebook/instagram and what happens after reaching 50k streams, will you just take down my music?
@@Wreckstone Unfortunately, Instagram and Facebook distribution are solely done through sync licensing - this is stupid to make that kind of distribution achievable only via sync licensing, but it’s Meta’s rules. Sync licensing is a completely different type of contract, which I can only offer through exclusive licensing because of copyright reasons (it’s the same as having the rights to have your song used in a movie, except here it’s… instagram stories). Anyway, with such a license (the $40 one), you’ll be able to distribute your song on Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, etc., but if you want to use it on TikTok/Instagram/Etc., you might have to use the song in the form of your own audio clips (not on stories, due to it being done only via sync licensing). @dehavior Alright then what about the limited streams, what happens if I cross that threshold, is the music gonna get take down, will I be forced to get an exclusive license?
@@Wreckstone No, you will only have to upgrade to the appropriate license later on, once you've reached the threshold (not necessarily with an exclusive one by the way)
