Music isn't inherently bad but pop culture has made it so obscene and vulgar that it is incumbent upon Muslims to stay away from it. Dhaff/Daf is a musical instrument that is not haram. Also, the ultimate goal is to keep the Dhikr (remembrance) of Allah so basically one should keep away from anything that can distract you from it which what listening to music does.

Music is actually the holy thing for saitan. As Qur'an is holy for us. When we listen to Music, it makes us fall further away from Allah. And you are correct, lyrics of songs now a days have made it even more haram on us to listen to it. It's so inappropriate and misleading

I definitely get you on the enjoyment part. When I vlog it takes a tiny bit of enjoyment and focus on the actual aim of the trip/activity. Do whatever you feel is best man! What I have been doing lately is just using my mobile and joking around in the vlog rather than focusing on visuals/storytelling too much, makes it more interesting for me and surprisingly for the viewers as well.
