The old home system audio is just GOLD, unique quality and an amazing sound i really love it, we'll never see home audio like that again 😪
I still have 3 old school systems, a 2004 Panasonic SA-AK520, with it’s original subwoofer, if I’m feeling a bit less bassy I remove all the speakers from it and hook it up to 2 2000 Panasonic SB-AK22 Speakers, originally belonging to the Panasonic SA-AK22. A 2007 Sony MHC-GX, with its original speakers and beastly woofer, and the real kicker, a 2009 Sony MHC-EC99i with its original woofer, but slapped on the sides are 2 audiophile grade 1976 Sanyo SX-2050N Bookshelf woofers. Back when Sanyo still used to make top quality equipment and not shitty TV sound bars and DVD players lmao. They don’t even make sound equipment anymore. All of them pump like the day they were first bought, they’re fucking tanks. And they’re so easy to repair too. Blown out speaker? As simple as removing the speaker, getting just the right size replacement one and popping it back in. These old systems were truly something else man and I’m glad I’m still rocking mine

They're cheap plastic mass produced speakers. Crap. Worth about $10 at yard sale. 😂

Nearly equal to original restoration, only that the back of speakers is not completely flat but a little out of border .... and that 3 legged speaker was super ... Good video ..👍👍

I remember these shelf-system speakers. They were from one of the last generation of shelf mini-systems before sony abandoned them
I'm seeking for that kind of speakers from the NSX series of Aiwa, as I remember, they had awesome sound quality!
@@waseemplaystore That feeling is called "fidelity". And yes, that's true, new systems are designed to give maximum loudness with minimum power, and usually sacrificing audio quality.
Excellent work on the new wooden cabinet overall. Now all that's missing is the inclusion of an optimized crossover board to get the maximum sound quality out of these passive speakers.
That’s what I thought. Poor drivers are driven by a capacitor.

The capacitor in series of the tweeter is the absolute CHEAPEST way to not blow them up with excessively low frequencies. Problem is, a first order filter like a single capacitor can only do so much (little) for improving sound quality.
It’s a default system (Without Crossover) of Sony.

Edit: even if its not real, you did a really cool job
Smart work
you could have added a first order crossover, at 17:11 min you can notice that the effect of the bass is irregular that means distortion and the speakers are easily damaged, a bass speaker must work smoothly without irregularities. Irregular clean and repaint the white speaker cones and recover the sunken tweeter hubs, the woodwork is not bad but could have been better on the rear finishes, add a base of connection terminals on the back with better aesthetics finaly a correct base support

here in Brazil nobody throws an item like that in the trash, they are renovated as soon as they have a problem, but they don't go to the trash
But, some units are not easy to repair.. especially the ones with way too many drivers.. which act as one speaker..
Eg: a 25 transducer loudspeaker.. acting as one speaker into 1 enclosure

@@erikortiz826 Eso es relativo, aunque estos bafles vienen generalmente con maderaprensada, en este video se usan las planchas mas gruesas, por lo tanto de acuerdo a la robustes del material de construcción, mejora la acústica de la caja, al menos no es mi opinión, sino, la opinióm que he recogido de un experto. Saludos.

nice reatoration, but the Wood is not the same as Original Replacement, Sound Of Bass May Be Affcted on Some Wood Vibrating , some other uses Cotton Foam to the softness of bass Inside Behind of Woofer

I like it .... But from my point of view it would be more beautiful if the speakers were of a light tone FOR EXAMPLE beech or alder ..... I think it would be very cool

I like speakers made in Indonesia, namely Sony
I will paint my boxes Pantone 444U, (grey) . and I will add sheets of foam inside in the walls - it will reduce the "deep bass" in some way - my Genezi is 2.0 audio.
I saw a brasilian man adding / replacing the textile for the grid, it is easy and your speakers could be very good with black colour, or silver if there's textile :D
