Sweet babies. Sweet Momma. The other female, the one who keeps holding her hand on her head, keeps sidling up to Momma. Does she want to hold the babies, or is she envious that there are two and she has none.
They have their 7th birthday on 13 June. It will be their last birthday together. They both still live in Arnhem (Burgers' Zoo). The boy will move later this year with his dad and the other young boys in the group.
I wonder if they had a human mom there with her twins, sharing food etc through a protected screen/perforated glass, how the gorilla mom would react. Would she react as protective of her babies or recognize the human mom as a mom of babies too and share or try to interact ?
I thought each one had a caregiver at one time if that is true shouden old mamas check her head ( MRI ) or something. she is not holding it for nothing. someone please check her please.
Oh I see kinda like a comforting habit. They are so very interesting I have really paid attention here lately and I still watch them in amazement. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer me. I appreciate your videos and insight.
sharon anz I think she lacks affection.. :( and also all the people always watching can be frustrating.. but beautiful creatures, we have a lot to remember what our basic needs are
Mama loves her babies 💖💖💖💖
It is absolutely adorable to watch the twins interacting with eachother :-) precious!!

I think Sister was trying to be invisible. Just wanting to be incuspiciou and get a look at those sweet babies ❤️ she is a sweet shy little being
N'Gayla seems like she's the one many of them want to be near.

Эта мама близнецов молодая совсем и даже симпатичная
Makes you wonder what they think about
Yes it does!

Wonder why she ran so quickly?
Gorillafan100: many videos, little time. I'm in the middle of moving to my boyfriend. You have to be patient a little longer.
what's wrong with the sweet one holding her head? I hope it's just a comfort thing..
Any update on the twins and their mother?
Their thinking, " I love you." 🧙♂️
They have all these females , why not send a few to all those bachelor's that are lonely for mate. Keep the species thriving
Any newer video's of Burger Zoo twins taken in November 2013. Are babies walking or crawling on their own now?
one seems like she has a headache . and it's sad these poor beautiful animals must be bored out of there minds.. 😐
Not one of them has a headache and they're not bored!!!
Хорошая мамочка и славные малыши. Теперь уже большие, им по 7 лет должно быть. Где они?

Amazing ! Does anyone know why she's holding her head ?? Is it a nervous gesture or habit ?? It's sad to see it ?! Hope all was ok ??
🙏💖💖
All was okay. it's just a habit.
Mom seems unfazed by having two babies to handle.
I noticed on another video the female that holds her head. Any idea why she does that?

I don't have the answer to that question.
What are they picking at and eating? Great to see the twins.
Did the dad have a headache? He kept holding his head.
А где от дождя гориллы должны прятаться? Непонятно.

There's nothing wrong. By the way, this video is from 4 years ago.

suremind You don't know this group, you don't know the individuals, so please don't think you know what's wrong!
ok, you tell what I can think and what I know, ok?
What are they eating?
What are they eating on the ground ?
This is a 7 year old video, so I don't know. It's either pellets (special ape pellets) or seeds. The keepers throw it on their island as enrichment.
why is old mama holding her head. has she had a bump. has any one check it?????????????????????????????????
There's nothing wrong!
So actually, a few gorilla females hold their ears like that. It’s a self soothing thing in times of stress.
has her right showing finger grown wrong?
+Olaf Severin She broke it when she was young.
thought so as well. U know her history?
+Olaf Severin Not very well. Only from people who visited the zoo in the past.
better than nothing so far
She's a female but would tear a human Male apart, sad, they are so adorable though
why did she run
I don't know. I see her look up. People from the zoo could be up there. I honestly don't remember ;-)
