- Yes, the Palfinger Crane made by ScaleART - something very special.
It's a big pleasure for me to share this outstanding RC Truck with you - this is pure high-tech. As I don't know how many hours, weeks or months it took ScaleART to design and engineer this special truck, but it must have been many. The mechanism is working as it should if you compare it to the real crane, all functions can be used and at full scope of the crane, it can load 0.5 kilos (!!) - that's a lot. I hope you'll like this video - soon I'll show you an outside video at the construction site - hopefully weather gets better soon.

That is amazing design and craftsmanship. I remember in the 80's in America radio controlled vehicles were detail based. Now it is just about speed.

That truck is out standing.i love the detail in it.im building my 2nd tamiya truck a detail has to be right every nut and bolt have been painted just the same as the reel truck would be.
How do you go about building something like that?im trying find plans to build a goose neck low loader.a crane like that would be great for loading a unloading of one.

the only inaccuracy I see is the real crane isn't able to turn 360 degrees it is limited. But this is super cool.

Thnak you! Good questions: Ja, this video shows the preproduction model. That's why the crane drops. They are now installing an additional valve, that the holds the boom in its position. Did you check my other videos showing the hook lifter crane from ScaleART? Checkout scale art in Germany. They produce and sell it. Best wishes, BJ

@Pohatu: Sehr gut beobachtet - ja, das Halteventil ist noch eine Vorserienversion, die nicht 100% perfekt schließt, daher sackt der Arm ausgestreckt leicht ab. Es wird gegen die Serienversion ausgetauscht - Video hierzu kommt noch. :-)

i think this crane looks amazing but i bet it has an unreal high price but it was a bit dissapointing that when the crane reached out its max lenght it started to drop down slowly and it turns slow compared how fast the crane is.

Beautiful RC truck, but holy smoke, €2.950,00 for the remote control, €1.977,95 for the cab/chassis, €6.036,30 for the crane so a total of €10.964,25!

Great truck. But the arm is lowering while in rest. Mabey you have to check that?

If the hydraulic pump is off, the arm will lower. Just like on the full size!
@@Fluterra On a full size the arm will not lower when the pump is off! It's a safety thing! Thats why checkvalves are for.
@@MsTankrat No true - I've just been reading the full scale hydraulic vehicle forums on this very topic! You would never leave the arm extended with the pump off on the full scale! So it's a dumb/moot/irrelevant point.
@@MsTankrat in theory, you’re correct. In practice, the arms do lower over time. You’ve never actually operated or owned a 1:1 hydraulic vehicle, have you?

Hi from California,USA good video like your RC truck. I have question regarding the crane I noticed that when you had the boom fully extended that the boom seemed to lower it self like it was losing hydraulic pressure is this a normal function with it
A Baller Hi, that's true, but the crane in the video was the preproduction model - they fixed it, so now the boom won't lower it self while fully extended anymore. They just had to adjust the valve. Best wishes from Germany :-)
+RC TRUCK ACTION hi, do you know how they tuned the valve? I have (had) the same problem with my excavator. I 'fixed' it by adjusting the trim on the channel. However I think this will limit my range of the servo in that direction a little bit as you can only go in a certain direction for a specific amount. I think the correct way is to center your servos, unmount the valve, center the valve and the adjust the servo adaptor to ensure they align. However, I have never done that. Have you ever done (or see someone perform) this? Regards from NL.
Richard Hoogenboom You're absolutely right, Richard. Concerning the crane, you need a special valve, that insures, that the boom is not dropping anymore. In German, we call it Halteventil. This isn't need when operating an excavator. Tehre it's done the way you described. Best wishes from Germany :-)

There is no leak down. When the pump is off, the cylinders drop, just like on full size machines!

Did you buy the Palfinger Crane separately? How did you configure in the remote?
It was a complete RC Truck. The remote has been programmed by ScaleART. The remote uses an sd card with almost all rc trucks on the market, so the configuration of y model is quite easy. Best wishes, BJ

Nice model but when u open the full length of telescopic boom coz of weight it comes down slowly offcourse hardly 2mm lifting cylender can't bare the weight ☺

+Legionofgaming Gallo Depends on how intensively you're using the crane. But driving and playing with the crane should last for an hour. I have 4 battery packs. There're not expensive at all - so you get plenty play time… ;-)

You've got a leaky hydraulic cylinder, - that's why the boom creeps down. easy fix if you can get parts, but for 10k I'd send the cylinder back and let them re-pack it,
It could be the control valve is not centering too

You are absolutely right - you spotted that well. :-) The built-in valve is the pre-production one; when it went into production, the manufacturer put in an improved valve and now it works great. Not the slightest dropping at all any more. Hearty greetings from Germany
