I am a Whispyr fan so all the yapping about talent interactions, theories, etc are appreciated. That said, I could see a shorter form vid like this to be more appealing to new viewers. Regardless, keep up the strong work! I'd love to see a breakdown of talent builds per boss or tweaks for beginners vs real sweats.
Hey whispyr, i'm trying to improve and min - max on my assa rogue. but i get lost in my logs.. What would you recommend me to look for in logs or improve?
Caustic spatter to someone who skipped shadowlands is completely insane for a inconspicuous talent choice. I had an assa rogue join my normal pug group on Silken court week one when I still knew very little about what had changed and was dumbfounded to see caustic spatter be by far his biggest source of damage. I get that everyone has to do cleave now to be viable for M+, but i'm not surprised to see it tuned back.
even with the nerf it's insanely strong. It basically has flipped assa over onto its head with bleeds being resources/buffs and then caustic doing most of the heavy lifiting. Mini outlaw rogue with blade flurry. I definitely think it should be nerfed even further and bleeds buffed
Hmm, usually my adhs powered short attention span would have appreciated a shorter video but I honestly don't mind your long rants, I usually have them on my second monitor while working or doing some other stuff. Maybe, if you want to help people a bit and make it easier to digest you could get more minute with timestamps but tbf, you already do that soooo.. yeah I am not sure where this is going. Either way, long or shot, thanks for the rambling and all the information. :)
Sounds like some solid buffs to Deathstalker with this change. Does this mean Fatebound falls even further behind? Doesn't seem like much of a buff to those talents.
My biggest regret is not sticking with assa at the start of the season I went ELE and I really don’t wanna suffer through a bunch of 9 and 10s on puggin again 😢
I mean by definition it’s gonna buff envenom and kingsbane so it affects it a little But I don’t think it really matters in the greater scope of talent balance. If the rework is worth taking it’s still worth taking
Enchancement shammy and arcane mage around like 15% ahead, and we clapping about a maybe 4% buff? If the buff is anything north of that we will just get nerfed again can’t ever be too close to the meta classes
Tuning never takes bad specs to the top or top specs to the bottom, 4-5% buff puts us solidly upper-middle. It’s a good place to be considering how low we started
@@whispyr5793 this is true, but mage seems to perpetually be at the top, and the one phase ass rogue was at the top in dragongflight last 1 week, before kingsbane caught multiple nerfs in subsequent weeks
@@whispyr5793 how was it functioning properly if you said tails coin flip n deathstalker plague stuff is likely to be amplified now with tincture. Also with tincture proccing more stably now, heads damage should go up too. That's why my original question

Kinda get it but that’s not how the game works, they do like 6-8 tuning passes every tier. If a spec underperforms next tier they’ll just buff it idk it’s not really that deep
I have a question as a newer player on assa and wow in general and it has to do less withthis video and more with your last mythic + video and your guide on wowhead which for some reason both show different talents and different hero so i watched practically the better part of 1,5 hours of video talkingabout fatebound and the rotation to meeting the reprimand + deathstalker on the website and now i am confused as all hell
@@yasha886 propably the question would be. what am i suppose to follow as a guideline? what was in the video or what was on the website? cause those are 2 different things (and yes i know i couldnt phrase myself correctly but neither would you after 1,5 hours of straight video watching and about 1 hour to read everything on wowhead)
Guides are easier to update so would suggest wowhead, but they should have very similar or near identical information. My videos cover both hero talents so I’m not entirely sure where the confusion is
2483 io sin rogue and im probably quitting before getting ksh because i waste more time applying to keys than playing the game. Pathetic system in place. Some company needs to make an m+ clone with auto-queue. WoW is not a skill based game, it’s a knowledge based game. Theres no reason that m+ shouldn’t be available through auto queuing. Anyway next week is the last week before retail dies again till next xpac. Content is already dry after aotc and ksh. Useless game
Honestly just starting groups with my own key was so refreshing for this, has been a really smooth and fun experience since I did that. Pretty fast to find 2500+ rating people and you can also cater the comp to the dungeon, like DK in NW and so on. Try it!
All the yapping appreciated in equal, dont cut if u have something to say, tyvm.

hello Whispyr, I liked the video but was surprised you didn't mention anything about Fieldies and was curious if you were planning to do so
About what
@@whispyr5793 Fieldies.... Fieldies nuts. as always thanks for the video, hope you have a lovely week ahead of you sir
Fuck you oh my god i should’ve seen it coming

I also like more a 30 min video to fill my morning than a 6 min one.

Thanks for the vid!
Pretty happy about these changes. More priority damage can only be a good thing for us in keys and raid.
I say, more yappin. In fact DOUBLE IT! :P I enjoy listening to someone passionate about a thing talk about it.
Hey whispyr, i'm trying to improve and min - max on my assa rogue. but i get lost in my logs.. What would you recommend me to look for in logs or improve?
Assa buffs FTW! Star wipe transition to a bowling strike with the caption "ch-ch-chonkier envenoms!!!!"
Add the yappin' as optional after a 6 min bitesize? Love the yappin.
This seems pretty huge for m+. Any bonus to our ST makes me happy.
slightly higher aoe with much higher st? Good stuff
Yo whispyr, any tips on energy management? I feel like I’m always starved and fuck myself on single target.
maintain envenom out of cooldowns

makes sense to me at least
on wow head for raid single tgt why u get rid of improved garrote shrouded suff for improved posions and dashing scoundrel
cause you get to do equal damage without having to vanish, very cool
Is this a "set really needed tuning" situation or a "we tuning set to bandaid fix spec dmg" situation?
Or both?😂
both, mostly former
Yah, both mostly former
Sounds like some solid buffs to Deathstalker with this change. Does this mean Fatebound falls even further behind? Doesn't seem like much of a buff to those talents.
yes, fatebound received no changes
Got me on chonkier envenoms,im game 🗡🗡
Envenoms are good

Is it a bigger buff to deathstalker or fatebound?
the "hero talent" stuff is not a fatebound buff, fatebound was already functioning properly with the tier, so it's entirely deathstalker buff
@@whispyr5793 how was it functioning properly if you said tails coin flip n deathstalker plague stuff is likely to be amplified now with tincture. Also with tincture proccing more stably now, heads damage should go up too. That's why my original question
N if indeed it's a buff only for deathstalker wouldn't that tilt the assassin spec heavily in favour of deathstalker
@@adityasihag4 tails flip was already working with tincture, so it's just the slight buff from the proc rate
assa buffs? ill take it, why not
Buff number is quite small though...
5%ish in single target is a large number, would be equal to 6-7% aura buff. It's very significant
When was assa gone?
none of the rogue specs have been all that great in raids
