Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3 is a platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. It is an enhanced remake of the Nintendo Entertainment System video game Super Mario Bros. 3, and is based on the remake found in Super Mario All-Stars for the Super NES.
It contains several enhancements, including the addition of Mario and Luigi's voices by Charles Martinet, a multiplayer mode based on the original arcade game Mario Bros and the ability to scan e-Cards, utilizing two Game Boy Advances, the e-Reader, and a copy of Super Mario Advance 4. Once a card is scanned, it adds certain content to the game.
Soig beats the 38 e-Reader levels in record time. This run uses a WiiU VC release of the game, because, unlike in the GBA versions, all the e-Reader levels are instantly available here. If you want to see all the normal levels beaten, see here (tasvideos.org/3....

I am so glad a TAS of World e was made! Only if there was a 100% run of it...
There is a 100% run of World e, but it’s not a speed run. There’s one made by Tsunao the Faker if you’re interested.
Question_Mark if I am correct or not a 100% run of world e would take a hour or two?

If you did everything well and kept the dying to a minimum, it would take about two hours.
What I meant by a run of World e was a TAS of World e, not RTA.

These e-levels look really neat. You can get the cape, play levels from the other titles, even... fight blue hedgehogs? Very sneaky, Nintendo.

Those aren't hedgehogs; they're porcupines.
I think the enemy is named Porcupo, and it's from Super Mario Bros. 2 USA/Doki Doki Panic.
Those enemies predate sonic the hedgehog and are porcupines.
This game also came way after sonic games started appearing on Nintendo devices.
Ugh, so many pedants in these replies. No fun allowed, huh? Well, joke's on you, because I can out-pedant you all.
Firstly, the English name for these may be "Porcupo", but they clearly resemble hedgehogs far more than they do porcupines. This is reflected in the Japanese name for these, which is Harimannen, where the "hari" comes from "harinezumi", or hedgehog.
Secondly, the enemy may date back to SMB2, but its very much Sonic-like color palette does not. The Porcupos were black in SMB2 and purple in SMAS/SMA1. This blue palette is unique to SMA4.
Finally, SMA4 released in July 2003. Sonic Advance and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle released in December 2001. Dunno if roughly a year and a half counts as "way after".

Fun Fact: That glitched run happens when you press left and right at the same time. It happens because the game never expect you to do that

You can't do it on the original gba because of how the dpad works.
Everyone can do the same,just hold Left And Right D-Pad buttons at the same time. Also don't forget to hold A when you want to jump high. If you land after long jumping,do it again,and continue long jumping after landing. An nice practice is advised to do this.
Well not really, as the original hardware doesn't allow you to press left and right at the same time because it is a d-pad.
Also some emulators might make it impossible to do that even with keyboard, including mGBA
The TAS running backwards is equivalent to backwards longjump wall clipping in sm64

Am I the only one who got hooked on the bass track of the athletic theme when playing these? It seems a lot more pronounced than it was on NES and SNES.
It’s time to see a version of it being hacked with all these extra levels(including the 15 scrapped levels from the original game) ,from wich each level should belong to each related world, sure some levels die require some extension of the smb3 engine to add more features in it,but it’s possible,hence those smb3 hacks we have seen over the years such as smb3 mix or luigi vs mario etc,,,
We could see a 200% run of this game combining 100% and e-reader 100%

My bootleg cartridge of this game also says the save is corrupted every time it loads, but the save is always intact. Wonder why that is

You can at least applied the patch with the rom and play it in any flashcart though

@@yordansic the main point of TAS is usually to find out the theoretical fastest time to complete something in a game. Sure you have TAS runs that are just for fun but as far as I'm aware it's primarily used for that reason.
