I am totally connected to this village. I have fallen completely in love. I am from Australia and have visited here 15 times since 1986...it has my heart and my slate stone is in The Wordsworth Daffodil walk. 💚❤🌿🌲🍃💚😘xxx
This town by far is one of the prettiest you have walked through. So many mature trees and lots of gardens make it easy to like. And, the mountains in the background are the icing on the cake. Lol. Thank you for this lovely walk. Mary from Maryland, USA
Grasmere, another beautiful Lake District village. Great that you can do the walking to show us around these lovely places. Keep going Neil, you are doing a great job.❤💯👍
@@GimbalWalkTV I have a dear friend who lives in the UK and she is the one who sent me the link to this. Her daughter and grandchildren are taking her to the Lake District on holiday next week. And she wanted me to see this place, in particular. 😊👍👍
Estuve viviendo alli unos meses y fue super gratificante. A quien le guste la montaña, es una pasada, la gente super educada y amable. Volveria sin dudarlo..
Just came across this channel, and I really like it. This particular walk, was one I did (for the most part), back in 2013, so it was a nice trip down memory lane. I like how you let the video speak for itself. Well done to you.
@@GimbalWalkTV - You're absolutely welcome. Credit where it's due, and you deserve the kudos for the quality of work you put into these. It is evident from the final product, so thank you for making these, and inspiring us to travel once again.
Just absolutely gorgeous, I live in the South West now, but am from the North West, so glad my Mum and Dad loved the Lake District and we would always visit there often. As a teen, I would spend a lot of time Camping there as well, with my brother and friends, so peaceful.
We were fortunate to buy a beautiful stone house near Grasmere with a high price tag but worth it, it has 4 bathrooms and ideal for guests. We are from Liechtenstein and have a villa on a mountain side so love the beauty, thus well away from the riff raff.
What a stunningly beautiful relaxing place. Loved the start where you drove into the place thank you for taking me to this lovely village keep on walking 🚶🏻👍❤️
Fab, live not too far from here, it’s a while since I came so it was nice to see it in comfy of my chair and noticed few different shops, nice when all daffs out , the path round the church with all the named slate slabs was to raise money I think for upkeep of church, I remember wen they started it, people could buy a slab and have their names and address put on it was laid bit by bit as there was hundreds
You can climb Helm Crag from here where they’re is the famous rock formation on top that’s called the Lion & the Lamb so called from the main road looking up it looks like it.
My sister, her huband and niece are camping at lakeland campsite and me and my dad went yesterday for the day. The outdoor pool is useless because they forgot to fill it.
What a Green and Pleasant land 😀 It’s amazing that because of its microclimate Grasmere’s weather is like that every day of the year NOT 😉😉 Fab vid , thanks for sharing 🙏🙏
I would advise people to steer well clear of the popular Lake District tourist hot spots because they are now attracting the louts who once frequented the likes of Blackpool. Crime is soaring but, the reporting of that crime is being suppressed by the local media.
Perhaps the louts from Blackpool you mentioned are changing their ways, and seeking a taste of culture instead? I live in the area, and the crime rate doesn't appear to have increased much, given the Lake District sees almost 20 million tourists per year now.....
Why is it a fake? I've driven through Grasmere hundreds of times, as I live not far away. I can assure you what you see in the video is actually how it is.....
@@Brian-om2hh No it’s not. My dad took me to where my sister, niece and my sisters husband were camping and this isn’t it, that was a few weeks back. Where is the little outdoor swimming pool they didn’tbother filling?

It stole my heart, too.
What I love about the lakes besides the beauty obviously, is the fact it's always clean: no rubbish anywhere. Neat, organised and sustainable.

Lovely place was only there last week not so good weather though when I visited
The weather is the clincher in the Lakes. We get Winter, followed by 6 months of bad weather.......
Just wow, my second choice to Robin's Hood Bay
Lovely place to visit that!
Beautiful video. What's your camera?

Which month during summer did you film this place?
Can’t remember
Lovely. Have you done Betws y Coed?
Not yet but saw it when I drove through and immediately put it on the lost of places to film as looks amazing
I dropped a couple of pounds into the wishing well and made a genealogy wish.
