What an awful thing to happen. Stephen is a very brave person for sharing his story. Unfortunately a close friend of mine was raped after a night out nearly 20 years ago. The trauma of that for her was bad enough but at the time there weren’t the HIV treatments available that there are today. I remember going to the hospital with her to get her results and I was terrified for her. Luckily she was negative but this kind of trauma lasts a lifetime. I hope that Stephen is now surrounded by people who love and care for him ❤️❤️❤️

I'm always in awe at how amazing you are Jennifer..not only as an advocate for the HIV+ community, but as an inspiration for all of us in general..you seriously blow me away. Stephen, thank you for being brave and sharing your story..you sound like an amazingly strong person as well. I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through. I'm not HIV+, but I can sadly relate to your history of childhood sexual abuse. It's something I'll never get over, but I've tried to live my life refusing to let it define me. Thankfully I've got an amazing husband who's always been very supportive as well. Anyways, you guys rock!
Fantastic interview. I'm really sorry to hear what he had gone through but i noticed how strong he became and Jennifer i really look yo to you. You guys have Made me feel alive and loved and most important that people with our condition can move forward no matter what.

If there's ever been a time that I wanted to reach through my computer screen and hug someone, it was while watching this interview with Stephen. As someone who also endured really bad childhood trauma (abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, etc), my heart goes out to him. This video had me in tears along the way watching it. I hope life blesses him

Omg 14 mm in and realized this is why I’m watching her video samething happened to me but I wasn’t in a bar I was with my kids and I was going on a ditch I’m still being tested for HIV there was so much going on the night I went to the hospital but that’s one thing the dr said was it could take tome for something that happened tonight to show up and I had no clue what the dr was talking about I wanna as still groggy fro whatever drug which is only in your system hours that’s why a lot of people don’t know what happened
If I ever got hiv I hope not but Jennifer I would not feel the fear I once I had but no longer have because of you.
I honestly feel if I get HIV, I would off myself in shame, or I'd hide in a corner for eternity...I am glad you guys are not...but I don't see my self being able to do it :(.
