finally free from the clutches of final projects, she returns with a much requested ukulele tutorial! this time on cavetown's "this is home"! this was my first attempt at a tutorial and I didn't really know what I was doing but I tried my best and that's what matters most, right? input is much appreciated! please let me know how i can improve in the future!

Slávka Čertíková If it helps, what I did, was make a note (IPhone) and I put the notes and under it I put D for Down and U for up so like on Cmaj7 I put DDU

@@pianopaeonia one year late, but make sure you are pressing the chords on the right spot and tight! And try and keep a steady and smooth rhythm so it doesn’t sound weird? I don’t know how to explain but I’m a beginner so please try to understand!

When you hold the strings do you let go after because I’ve tried it and it won’t work and how did you tune it? thank you for the tutorial though :)

if the strumming pattern is too complicated for you, an easier option is to just use d d u u d u the whole song and single downstrums where you find necessary

Tips that helps me when learning a new song.
(You can do either one of these, although I recommend starting with which one you struggle with the most.)
{ If you’re struggling with chords} Completely ignore the strumming pattern and just do single strokes for now. Just focus on the chords.
{ if you’re struggling with chords } Or completely ignore the chords and practice the strumming pattern and just do the whole thing open chorded (don’t remember what it’s call 😅)
