The character design goes from hulking bodybuilders to shredded Gucci models. It's really cool see the art progress and develop.
I would love to see y'all get some editors and just put a bunch of episodes out. Like two a week (because of how long this show is, especially Part 3). Its a great show that handles a lot of tones well.

The cringe is mostly just coming from the community, but the show itself is so wild and is also dramatic and deep at the same time, the whole show is an art.
The "highschool" arc for JoJo I'd say is the exact vibe that I think would describr the whole show the best. It didn't soften down at all, while it looked like that. This is the first reaction opening I've seen that didnt like that part xD definitely not the worst, just a heads-up once you get into the show.
Every Part has its own vibe and story that is not as same as any other parts.
The whole location of the "highschool arc" is one of my favorite parts of JoJo. The location feels like a character.
On god, the community is pure garbage there's so many reactors and regular watchers that gave up on the show because of the community, it's sad to see

My fave episodes of Jojo are “Darby the Gambler (part 2)” from Part 3, and “Lets Go Eat Italian Food” from Part 4. Really clarifies that a Stand Battle could be *anything*, from an actual fight, to a game of poker, to trying to figure out what your chef did to your pasta.

As a heads up for the future, the BEST version is *NEVER* the 60 FPS version. Those use frame interpolation and it completely ruins the visuals. It's hard to notice if you don't know what you're looking for, but it looks significantly worse than the original
Exactly, better 30FPS to appreciate the synchronization and the visual and musical aspects.
This show is filled with musical references as the writer for JoJo's (Araki) is a huge fan of Western music and has named several characters and abilities to famous musicians/songs. Can't wait for you guys to react to this anime
After part 6 ending I can't fucking wait for part 7. It's honestly my favorite part + it's when JoJo goes from SHONEN to SEINEN which should tell you plenty about how bizarre things get later on

This show is so based and fun. Also, the show frequently changes artstyles, usually from season to season but sometimes even episode to episode. And because there is no canon color pallette to any of the characters in JoJo, there's a lot of experimentation with color even just between versions of characters in the anime or in the games and stuff. It's very eccentric but it's got the special sauce as well.
Personally, my favorite fights are Spice Girl vs Notorious B.I.G, and King Crimson vs. Metallica, they're great.

The show isn’t CG like some of the intros. And street fighter and a lot of anime take a lot of inspiration from jojos because it’s so old. The thing about jojos is that it’s very goofy but also somehow the coolest thing ever

The show is not really divided in seasons, it's divided in parts. Each part focuses on one story with its own cast and setting, and each part can have multiple seasons. There are 6 parts animated and there are 9 parts in total with a new one that just came out called Jojolands.
Why we zooming on "FINGERNAILS" well it is important for the plot, way too important for plot.
Very general explanation on how JoJo’s works IF YOU WANT, you could also go in blind if you want: JoJo’s is divided into parts, and each part is a different generation, story, and a new “jojo”. There are connections between parts, sometimes more than others. Murder mystery, mob drama, adventure movie vibes, prison, etc. also constant music references
So to explain, every season has a new protagonist and is usually set in a different time period. The one similarity being that it takes place in the same world and that the main character is always a JoJo, a descendant of the Joestar bloodline. So, Jonathan Joestar or Joseph Joestar = JoJo. It's very easy to understand once you start watching. It's a generational epic.
I wouldn't be surprised if the, in your words, "highschool arc" ends up being your favorite

The colors in this show are amazing. Also, even though it is extremely bizarre at times, I still got extremely invested in these characters and the twists that happen throughout. The show takes itself serious but also balances the silly weird stuff. Part 4 and Part 5 are definitely my favorite. Y'all didn't seem to like the Part 4 OP's too much, but I assure you the art is just as good and unique as Part 5.

I love this show because it just quickly goes off the wall with how insane it is. Favorite character is probably Dio. Man is insanely petty. But the villain in Part 4 definitely is up there too for me. I like them for different reasons. All the villains in the show are great. Main cast too. A lot of people say Part 1 is boring and to skip it(and even Part 2?). No. Part 1 is a bit slow in some areas, but don't do that. Starting off at Part 3 is such a weird decision to me. Imagine if someone was like, "Yeah. I love One Pirce. But I skipped the first 300 episodes because someone told me it was slow". No. I think my biggest problem with Part 1 is that there's a character who explains everything happened. As it's happening or after it happens. But that's also a common thing in Shounen so I can't be too upset. Once the show finds its stride, it finds it. And it's amazing

Yeah, I don’t understand why people think it’s good to skip s1 and s2.
They’re probably the people that watched those seasons, know the story then, and disliked those seasons. They don’t consider the context the new viewer will be missing. They also probably have a hard-on for Jotaro, only watch the show for the stands, and think s3 is peak anime.
I'm personally more of a Diego (Specifically alternate Diego because the world looks so aesthetically pleasing) guy but to each their own.
SPOILER FREE RUNDOWN:
JoJo’s is a generational story, with each “part” following a descendant of the original protagonist (barring parts 7-9, but I’ll explain that in a minute) Each protagonist is JoJo, a nickname given to them taken from the “Jo” in their first and last names (example: Jonathan Joestar or Jotaro Kujo) the two twists on this rule are part 4’s Josuke Higashikata and part 5’s Giorno Giovanna. Josuke manages to follow the “JoJo” rule because the "Suke" (助) in his name may also be read as "Jo" in Japanese. Giorno’s a lot easier to explain though, as the “Gio” in his first and last names are pronounced identically to “Jo” in Japanese.
There are two continuities within the series, parts 1-6 and parts 7-9. These two continuities are separate universes to each other, so while the latter continuity has references to and similarly or identically named characters as the first 6 parts, they share no narrative connection whatsoever.
Only the first 6 parts have been animated thus far, with the fandom eagerly awaiting news on part 7 because it is widely believed by those who have read the manga to be one of if not the best part of the series.
BONUS FACTS:
The manga began in 1987 and has been running ever since, with part 9 starting in February of this year. This long runtime contributes to the large shift in artstyle over the series, as not only are you witnessing the journey of the Joestar bloodline, you are also witnessing the evolution of Hirohiko Araki as an artist.
JoJo’s has influenced countless other manga, anime, video games, and even some western comic books. Chances are that you have experienced a piece of media that was in some way influenced by Hirohiko Araki’s work. Examples include Demon Slayer, Persona, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Street Fighter.

I recommend avoiding 4K 60fps because it means that the uploaded used Ai upscaling and interpolation to smooth it out to 60fps, sadly this results in a lot of smudging and makes freezes for impact get kind of ruined as they become smooth and loose the impact.(it’s a very common mistake)

jojos is a fantastic story of a bloodline being harassed by a vengeful vampire. Definitely will love all the new characters you go throughout the generations
Part 6 is the end of jojo(technically). Part 7-9 is a completely separate universe not connected to the previous one. Part 7 was just called steel ball run at first before the title became jojo part 7. This is because part 7 onwards is a very different experience from the previous parts. It is extremely hard to animate(too many horses and sunsets and awesomeness), so i doubt it'll ever be animated. Part 7 is considered the best season of jojo
I would say you guys are not ready for the crazyness of Jojos', but you guys are so ready for it. Have fun!

The anime is over for now. The studio that produced it(their name escapes me) said they only had plans to animate part 1-6 as that’s the original JoJo timeline. Part 7 - 9(as of writing) are a reboot of sorts and are currently manga only.
I hope good studio animated later parts and if possible I really really hope David production still does the sound effects they are so good

for non-watchers who don’t understand the title: each main protagonist in every season(Jonathan, Joseph, jotaro,) all have Jo in the beginning of their names. Since their last names are Joestar their name in short would be JoJo, which is why it’s Jojo’s bizarre adventure

When you watch the show, dont skip the intros and outros for the episodes. As you learn what they are showing, it really adds to the experience. They only spoil thing when you already know, and its big to learn how much thought and care was put into every aspect of them. And you'll love the part you think you didnt here.

I'd say going into Jojo.... it's going to be weird. Especially for the uninitiated.
Everything is connected, but each part of the overall story will have a different feel. Be prepared to find yourself down the line suddenly realising how accustomed to absolutely absurd ideas making sense in-universe. These are things that if it was ANY OTHER work, you'd say that it's nonsense.
I'd also highly recommend checking the outros for Jojo.....just because they're a bit different to your run of the mill anime endings :)

He has such a good redemption arc going from a total asshole rich kid to a gentle guy and a great friend with the JoBro of that part. Honestly they are my favorite Duo in the entire series (and Gyro is my favorite JoBro)

Just so you know, the anime is actually already over. There are still three "seasons" (called parts in this manga) which only exist in books for now but are taking place in a completely different universe and aren't planned to be animated for a long time. So you guys can go ahead and BINGE the show!
about the OP's having different versions. This is literally why JoJo openings got so big. Because sometimes the villains (or the protagonists) will just fuck with the opening which honestly is really cool.
