Imagine if someone was like, "Yeah. I love One Pirce. But I skipped the first 300 episodes because someone told me it was slow". No. I think my biggest problem with Part 1 is that there's a character who explains everything happened. As it's happening or after it happens. But that's also a common thing in Shounen so I can't be too upset. Once the show finds its stride, it finds it. And it's amazing
Yeah, I don’t understand why people think it’s good to skip s1 and s2. They’re probably the people that watched those seasons, know the story then, and disliked those seasons. They don’t consider the context the new viewer will be missing. They also probably have a hard-on for Jotaro, only watch the show for the stands, and think s3 is peak anime.
SPOILER FREE RUNDOWN: JoJo’s is a generational story, with each “part” following a descendant of the original protagonist (barring parts 7-9, but I’ll explain that in a minute) Each protagonist is JoJo, a nickname given to them taken from the “Jo” in their first and last names (example: Jonathan Joestar or Jotaro Kujo) the two twists on this rule are part 4’s Josuke Higashikata and part 5’s Giorno Giovanna. Josuke manages to follow the “JoJo” rule because the "Suke" (助) in his name may also be read as "Jo" in Japanese. Giorno’s a lot easier to explain though, as the “Gio” in his first and last names are pronounced identically to “Jo” in Japanese. There are two continuities within the series, parts 1-6 and parts 7-9. These two continuities are separate universes to each other, so while the latter continuity has references to and similarly or identically named characters as the first 6 parts, they share no narrative connection whatsoever. Only the first 6 parts have been animated thus far, with the fandom eagerly awaiting news on part 7 because it is widely believed by those who have read the manga to be one of if not the best part of the series. BONUS FACTS: The manga began in 1987 and has been running ever since, with part 9 starting in February of this year. This long runtime contributes to the large shift in artstyle over the series, as not only are you witnessing the journey of the Joestar bloodline, you are also witnessing the evolution of Hirohiko Araki as an artist. JoJo’s has influenced countless other manga, anime, video games, and even some western comic books. Chances are that you have experienced a piece of media that was in some way influenced by Hirohiko Araki’s work. Examples include Demon Slayer, Persona, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Street Fighter. JoJo’s has done collaborations with brands like Gucci and has had its art featured in the Louvre
The anime is over for now. The studio that produced it(their name escapes me) said they only had plans to animate part 1-6 as that’s the original JoJo timeline. Part 7 - 9(as of writing) are a reboot of sorts and are currently manga only.
Part 6 is the end of jojo(technically). Part 7-9 is a completely separate universe not connected to the previous one. Part 7 was just called steel ball run at first before the title became jojo part 7. This is because part 7 onwards is a very different experience from the previous parts. It is extremely hard to animate(too many horses and sunsets and awesomeness), so i doubt it'll ever be animated. Part 7 is considered the best season of jojo
About a year late to this but i love that you guys actually pause to discuss the openings once they're done unlike most reactors who'll just sit through the whole video without pausing once or barely saying anything
Based on what the boys said in previous reactions about the things they liked and disliked in tv series and anime, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't enjoy watching jojos tbh
39:54 you're talking about liking different color palettes well then JoJo has a lot of that for you because an intense fight scenes or just sometimes on random scenes they'll completely swap up the color palette
Highly recommend you guys watch every JoJo’s theme, every JoBro’s theme, and every JoJo villain theme. Also, recommend you watch all the endings too! Also, watching “1 second from every JoJo episode” is a wild ride, too lol. Be careful tho, “1 meme from every JoJo episode” contains spoilers. The good thing about the 1 second one is it happens so fast you don’t have time to process any of the spoilers lol Do note, the anime is only up to the end of part 6 at the moment, so anything from part 7, 8, or 9 is fanmade (although the fanmade themes for part 7 are spectacular lol)
49:17 manga is ongoing still, anime covers first 6 parts of the manga so far. Manga started part 9 not long ago, part 8 started being published before first season of anime came out, it came to conclusion last year.
About how many parts (seasons) the show has: Currently there is 9 parts and only 6 of them are animated and the next one is part 7: Steel Ball Run which is the one that MOST manga readers are excited for since it's the part where JoJo goes from Shonen (kids - young adult rating) to Seinen (young adult - adult rating) (oh and because part 7 is just really fucking good)
When you watch the show, dont skip the intros and outros for the episodes. As you learn what they are showing, it really adds to the experience. They only spoil thing when you already know, and its big to learn how much thought and care was put into every aspect of them. And you'll love the part you think you didnt here.
Favourite episode is for sure D'arby The Gambler. Its the exact moment when i realized that this show was fully my jam. Favourite characters are hard because they're all pretty good honestly but I'd say Joseph and Waamu are up there for sure.
about the OP's having different versions. This is literally why JoJo openings got so big. Because sometimes the villains (or the protagonists) will just fuck with the opening which honestly is really cool. Like imagine watching the Opening, getting hyped for the episode to start and BANG the fucking villain basically stops the opening and smiles with a smug, shit eating grin lmao
Sono Chi no Kioku (the one where they do Ora Ora and Muda Muda at the end) actually has a 3rd version of the opening but it barely have changes, mostly more details added and more obvious spoiler so they don't usually add it in these.
Just so you know, the anime is actually already over. There are still three "seasons" (called parts in this manga) which only exist in books for now but are taking place in a completely different universe and aren't planned to be animated for a long time. So you guys can go ahead and BINGE the show!
When you backed out of the video by mistake at 23:00, you skipped the second version of the first Part 4 intro (the one where they were dancing). There were some cool changes i wish you guys could see
"Sing a song of sorrow in a world where time has vanished" is an incredibly hard line, and JoJo's uses it *non-canonically* in an *intro song* where it isn't even PART OF THE SONG because the show just goes that hard
It's so rare for someone reaction to these opening to notice the looped part in the opening that goes backwards The part of the opening where the guy sitting on a table is shown like 4 times It does have a meaning but it's rlly hard to notice on your first watch
Funny thing, the assets used to make the videos for the openings are the game's assets, that's why they look like taken out of a videogame, because they are xd. Although, the anime is 2d, only the openings are in 3d
Bro you can't just understand the plot the openings, I mean, they are openings, if you want the plot just watch the show then you'll get all the references in the openings
To explain the show in the most simple term: About a family of flamboyant motherfuckers fighting supernatural shit like vampires, (kind of) demi gods, stands (basically a persons fighting spirit taken form) and doing it while not trying to make sense because the RULE OF COOL outweighs common sense and I will not be told otherwise (oh also each season has a new protagonist either because past JoJo died or had kids or both)
Parts 1-6 take place in the original universe which has now been wrapped up in the latest season which is why the final opening was such a good ending point, part 7-9 take place in a new universe and they haven’t been animated yet
for non-watchers who don’t understand the title: each main protagonist in every season(Jonathan, Joseph, jotaro,) all have Jo in the beginning of their names. Since their last names are Joestar their name in short would be JoJo, which is why it’s Jojo’s bizarre adventure
Calling part 4 the sequel that nobody wanted is actually comedy because it's arguably where the show really found its rhythm
For real

BONUS FACTS:
The manga began in 1987 and has been running ever since, with part 9 starting in February of this year.
I hope good studio animated later parts and if possible I really really hope David production still does the sound effects they are so good
I can't stop laughing that ALL of them are Joseph Joestar. I think I'm just going to start calling them that from now on
Gotta be the slowest people on this planet. Also, the guy on the left is now my biggest opp
Watch all Jojo's Endings
There are 9 parts right now, only part 1-6 are animated and every part has a different main character who is a descendants of the joestar bloodline
I would say you guys are not ready for the crazyness of Jojos', but you guys are so ready for it. Have fun!
Bros cover your legs
"With what are we working, reincarnation?" - its just a family lol - and they all are JoJo.
im so excited i keep coming back to this video lmao
It's gonna be so much fun to hear their thoughts about the actual episodes and comparing them to the first impressions of these intros
35:48 -Opening shows Giorno with the stand arrow
-"I think that's Joseph Joestar"
Also the opening: *"Hell No!"*
Watch it. 😂 nothing can prepare you for the experience
The good thing about the 1 second one is it happens so fast you don’t have time to process any of the spoilers lol
Do note, the anime is only up to the end of part 6 at the moment, so anything from part 7, 8, or 9 is fanmade (although the fanmade themes for part 7 are spectacular lol)
I would be SO HYPED to watch yall react to JoJo's! I know yall would love it.
49:17 manga is ongoing still, anime covers first 6 parts of the manga so far. Manga started part 9 not long ago, part 8 started being published before first season of anime came out, it came to conclusion last year.
About how many parts (seasons) the show has: Currently there is 9 parts and only 6 of them are animated and the next one is part 7: Steel Ball Run which is the one that MOST manga readers are excited for since it's the part where JoJo goes from Shonen (kids - young adult rating) to Seinen (young adult - adult rating)
(oh and because part 7 is just really fucking good)
Wait Jojo part 7_9 is seinen?
I didn't know that I guess when I was reading part 7 it did seem it was more adult
...... The only thing Sam guessed correctly is the "This is when Dio shows up and ruin everything" because it's JoJo story in a nutshell 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Watching you guys so completely baffled is so funny
1.) It’s JOJO
2.) All of them
3.) Speedwagon best waifu
4.) Perfect
With Jojo, I went in for the memes, but I stayed for the story.
You guys look fun
Ima subscribe
Anyone noticed they skipped the second version of Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town?
33:14 I Hope someone told y'all this already but this is about a bloodline "Jonathan, Joseph, Jotaro, Josuke, Gorino, Jolene"
Sam's reaction to polpo at 34:58 is killing me lol
Sono Chi no Kioku (the one where they do Ora Ora and Muda Muda at the end) actually has a 3rd version of the opening but it barely have changes, mostly more details added and more obvious spoiler so they don't usually add it in these.
Just so you know, the anime is actually already over. There are still three "seasons" (called parts in this manga) which only exist in books for now but are taking place in a completely different universe and aren't planned to be animated for a long time. So you guys can go ahead and BINGE the show!
Don't worry they are all JoJo 💀
When you backed out of the video by mistake at 23:00, you skipped the second version of the first Part 4 intro (the one where they were dancing). There were some cool changes i wish you guys could see
"Sing a song of sorrow in a world where time has vanished" is an incredibly hard line, and JoJo's uses it *non-canonically* in an *intro song* where it isn't even PART OF THE SONG because the show just goes that hard
It's so rare for someone reaction to these opening to notice the looped part in the opening that goes backwards
The part of the opening where the guy sitting on a table is shown like 4 times
It does have a meaning but it's rlly hard to notice on your first watch
Funny thing, the assets used to make the videos for the openings are the game's assets, that's why they look like taken out of a videogame, because they are xd. Although, the anime is 2d, only the openings are in 3d
45:33 Sam, don't try to guess, not with Jojos, this is a wild and very bizarre anime
Bro you can't just understand the plot the openings, I mean, they are openings, if you want the plot just watch the show then you'll get all the references in the openings
So to answer your question about the characters. Joseph Joestar is the second Jojo. Every new chapter of Jojo follows a different Jojo.
To explain the show in the most simple term:
About a family of flamboyant motherfuckers fighting supernatural shit like vampires, (kind of) demi gods, stands (basically a persons fighting spirit taken form) and doing it while not trying to make sense because the RULE OF COOL outweighs common sense and I will not be told otherwise
(oh also each season has a new protagonist either because past JoJo died or had kids or both)
Parts 1-6 take place in the original universe which has now been wrapped up in the latest season which is why the final opening was such a good ending point, part 7-9 take place in a new universe and they haven’t been animated yet
35:52 the song answered him 😂
I love how simple bloodlines are so out of questions in fiction and everyone jus thinks of reincarnation
Which is good because if you got everything wrong it means that when you watch the show you’ll be caught off guard and amazed.
It always amazes me everytime non-Jojo fans react on every opening lol. They are clueless until they watch the whole series
for non-watchers who don’t understand the title: each main protagonist in every season(Jonathan, Joseph, jotaro,) all have Jo in the beginning of their names. Since their last names are Joestar their name in short would be JoJo, which is why it’s Jojo’s bizarre adventure
27:24 lil did you know part 4 is a fan favorite
No, it's only the people who hate parts 1-3 and love slice of life anime aka fake fans
Damn the editings going WILD on this video
