When I saw him die in Endgame when I watched it in theatres, I cried my heart out because of how long I have watched him for since 2008. Used it on many client projects to instantly up the edits without spending a tonne of time on them. The lightning kind of reminds me of how it looked back in the day when they rotoscoped it on. The problem why it doesn’t quite blend too well into the scene is because there’s no light interaction with the lightning, it should be casting light on the glove
It looks great, loved it. I would have blurred the background a little more and lower the exposure so it matched the Thanos scene a little better and popped you out a little more. But seeing all you had to get done to make it look this great, it deserves a round of applause!
This is really quality production, I love the editing style! By the way, I've actually had the privilege to learn a bit of graphic design at high school this year (with the Adobe softwares), but I've only reached the tip of the iceberg, in comparison to what's been done here! Perhaps I'll learn more about it in the future, since it looks truly satisfying to make an art of your own. 🤩 👌

However I think it reinforces the negative stereotype that good visual effects are only achievable with a Hollywood production and discourages young artists. I was waiting for the big reveal where you pulled out the big guns and made this a banger. Then you showed the final result and ONLY after that mentioned that you had no previous VFX experience. Which is totally okay! Again, it's amazing that you want to learn more. But take the viewer on that journey. For being your first attempt, you did great! I'm incredibly impressed. Just remember, you have an influence over young minds and aspiring artists. There's a lot more to this field than the Hollywood comparisons. Keep at it!

If you use a phone with Camtrack AR installed, you can get direct camera movements from the phone camera translated perfectly into a digital blender camera. It is really useful.
I think Fin did a pretty solid job on it, but a good hour or two compositing / colour correcting would've done wonders. I know it's expensive but Magic Bullet Looks to do wonders on this comp
