I thought it was just the rebuilt 8620s that had that annoying whine sound on acceleration. Turns out quite a few 3200s, some 3300s, and I've also even seen a few 9000 artics have it as well. But none of the 8400s, 8500s or low 8600s have it. Some 8620s don't have it - 8669, 8648 are ones that I remember. It's because of this, I'm actually hoping that rebuild slows down since it seems they all get it after completion. Even the higher 8800s and 8900s are coming back with red backs and that annoying sound. I'm also hoping that the BYDs rebuild program is a success and all those vehicles return to service quickly. Anything to dilute the number of buses with that sound.

1395 and 1366 are also arrow rd buses.
