This is the best rendition I've ever heard of "Chicago Breakdown!" Oh how I wish my father had lived to hear him...and my sister! Frank, daughter Francene, Melrose.
Yeah, wait until you hear Hannes Otahal's version....not to mention his version of Bumble Boogie. Best Boogie player I've ever heard. Never screws up a note.
I've never played this but I know the style well enough to know this is a lot harder than it sounds. He makes it (especially that octave passage at the end) look so easy.
What nimble fingers! (way jealous) How lucky u r to just take off to Chips and not miss out on such happenings. Thanks for being on video *duty*...I am glad you got the catbird seat.
Wow! Very lively! I like this, especially the strange bass at 1:45 - 1:50, although the last couple of minutes was my favourite part. Overall, brilliant :-)
@idasynco I would love to have control of fingers like that. Just call me "LUCKY" :-) I was lucky to get that seat. When he said he would just play THAT piano, I go dang I am not in good position. I look in that room and all full except THAT seat.....So I grab it. :-) Next month Mimi Blais will be there too.....Hope I get a good seat then? Thanks for your comments. VBR

Splendid! That fourth chorus is a killer and you make it look so easy!
