Fly Fishing the Idrijca River, Slovenia - June 28, 2023

What a phenomenal day, with my 1st ever 19in marble trout, a trophy sized grayling, and four huge rainbows! Can't ask for a better day, you are the best guide Uros Kristan! 🎣😎💜
My LTS Finesse 8ft6 4wt fly rod and LTS Polyline were perfect for the roll cast and dry fly presentations and handled these large fish! Fished with heavy nymphs and dry fly, was really fun playing these fish.
Many thanks to Uros for his expert spotting, choice of flies and coaching, the results speak for themselves! There are fish twice the size Donna caught in that pol, will have to be back to catch some of those submarines. The Idrijca is a phenomenal river to fish, and Uros Kristan is highly recommended to guide you in Slovenia.

I don't know, that's what the guide said. Could be stocked...but there are some huge rainbows in that river!
