I thought I had watched all your video but I guess I missed this one. I like that she doesn’t get to sleep where she wants. Only on her place or in her crate. That was the piece that was missing for me and I turned around and sent this video to my husband.
I just came from tiktok and have been having a hard time with my reactive dog getting worse and this video just helped so much we’ve been working on place for 3 days now and he’s getting there and no affection unless he is doing as I asked in hopes that he will make some progress thank you for your videos you’re amazing
Thanks again. I've watched all of Cesar Milan but he never stuck. I never "got it" he never explained why we're doing these things. I get what you're saying as you explain why we do it and if we don't what the dog will wind up doing. Until you I had NO idea that a dogs natural instinct is to push against a tense leash that I'm pulling on. Our walks have been hell until you. I understand that its instinctual behavior to push against my pulling. Our walks no longer give me back aches, shoulder aches and I see wagging tails when we go now. So again....thank you so much.
Brenda Schwartz thank you so much for putting in the work!!! And thank YOU for the feedback!!! I was in the same boat that you were in at one point, anxiety, shoulder aches, the whole nine yards... thank you again for following and for doing the work💪🏼💪🏼
I came upon your channel a few days ago! Thank you so much! You helped me out so much with all your training tips and for me especially for the prong collar training! ♥️🐾
I'm REALLY enjoying your videos. I have two dogs. One with an incredible amount of separation anxiety but is wicked smart. Often outsmarts me. He knows many commands. I followed your prong collar advice with the prong collar (brand and all) and this changed his walking behavior in one session. I have yet to get the ecollar for when he is crated. He has broken out of so many creates I bought an industrial one. I'm unable to do yard work without him losing his noodle. I've had him since he was a puppy. I know I created AND allowed these issues to continue. The other dog I rescued and is blind. He pulls when I walk him and that's his only issue. I don't know how to train him in the same manner. Because he's blind I feel guilty for some reason. Special needs dog. He was aggressive when I first rescued him and has since gained trust and comfort with us.
Sky Watson I’m so sorry I missed this comment?? This is great to read! We have a blind dog as well... they don’t feel sorry for their situation, don’t let that guilt rule you! Just means their other senses are hyper aware :) take advantage of his nose, if he’s good motivated!
Happy Mother's Day Koko! 🐶🐕🐩🐺 Strong video. This is exactly what I need help on. When I go upstairs I need to have them stay downstairs without following me. The dogs also bark inside when they hear or smell neighbors walking their dogs past my place. Time for me to buy a pring collar. Have a wonderful day ☀️🌷🌱💜🐶🐕🐩
Hello! I’ve been following you on TikTok for a while but this is the first TH-cam video I have watched of yours. I have 3 dogs and 2 of them have recently started fighting out of no where. Seeing this video I understand the problem started when we didn’t give our dogs structure. I think this would help my family out so much. The rest of my family isn’t so on board to help with the training of our dogs so I will most likely be the only one to do so. How should I start? How could I get my family to help? Thank you!
maddie roy I’m so happy you can see how to help them! As a leader, you’ve got to do the work first. Just start implementing structure even if your family isn’t on board. After you’ve been consistent about your efforts, show them this 3 minute video and tell them you can’t do this alone. But first, you must show them the way with YOUR actions. Be the leader for your family- I know you’re a leader and you have the right mindset because you’ve already put in the work by watching this video and educating yourself. You can do this!!!🙌🏼
Koco Garcia thank you! That means so much!!! It’s really hard to not baby my dogs and let them sleep in bed with me but I know that it can be detrimental if they do not have structure. I have showed my mom your video on dog to dog aggression and she agrees with everything you said so that is great! Should the two dogs that are fighting sleep in kennels in the same room? They have tried to fight through the sliding glass door once so I’m not sure if they should even be able to see each other. We have been taking them on walks together and they mostly ignore each other. Thank you again for talking to me!
I love love your videos. I am just a bit confused about the tools that I should use with my pup. I have a year old Ibizan hound/ Staffordshire female that is stubborn as she can be. She is a short hair dog @52 lbs. she does great when we go on walks ( new and neutral territory) and back yard training. Once we add distractions ( people/ dogs in front of our house) all she wants to do is lunge/ bark/ all hair is raised and most likely she will bite someone if presented with the occasion. She had ecollar training but once she gets fixated on something you lost her. Even though she is extremely food motivated, she refuses everything at that point. I am not sure if a prong collar will help or hurt her. I would like to purchase one however, I am not sure which one I need to get . She has a very long neck ( big head) and she is a short hair dog. What would be your recommendations?
You have just described my dog's personality (minus the bite, but he will jump on and growl ferociously with his mouth open. Very scary to see but never actually bites). Koco I like to say that i have always trained my dog from 7 weeks old til now at 6 and a half years old. He's gone to numerous trainers. Every day entails some sort of training or working. He goes to doggie day care. Dog sitter and dog hiker with numerous other dogs off leash. Walk him down the street on a loose leash no problem. But the minute that distraction comes WHILE he is on leash and its game over. And I always remain calm. Never panic or over react. I get him back under control within seconds with distance. But it happens. What are we possibly doing wrong Koco??!!
Hi I have followed you for a couple weeks on TikTok. I have a 1 year old lab Doberman cross that is very leash reactive to other dogs. She growls and barks and pulls and twist herself around trying to get to them. Only when on a leash though. She walks usually fine off leash with other dogs. Do you have any advise. Thanks
Erin Clark all your questions are answered in the videos. There is a playlist called “start with these videos” after that it’s important to watch as many as you can. There isn’t just one video that will fix your issue, you will need to learn the whole process That’s why all the videos are around 5 minutes. You can fix your dog in less than an hours worth of studying. Amazon or chewy for the prongs
Thanks Koco for sharing gir insight. I greatly appreciate what you are doing on YT and TikTok. Are your dogs not allowed to ever play in the house? Inside the home are they required to be kn their crate or on their bed? I'm I wrong for letting my dogs play inside?
Barbra Cherry you teach the dog to hold the commands. Duration. If the dog has a bullet proof place command, he wouldn’t have access to bite a person as they are leaving.
@@RescueDogTraining we had incident where dog got off leash and was good with the guy who caught him but as the guy turned away from hand us the leash our dog bit him. No chance of using a "place" command. What are your suggestions in this instance.
Barbra Cherry work your recall until your eyes bleed. If your dog doesnt walk on a “structured” walk, you need to learn how to teach your dog that first. There’s nothing wrong with the dog- but if he blows you off and gets off leash, or runs away- he doesn’t know his commands.

Great video as always. Structure is absolutely crucial. Thank you again for all you do.
I love your videos!!! I’d love to see a video of a start to present journey on one of your rescues x

Erin Clark hi, which videos have you watched to tackle this?
Koco Garcia I have not watched any yet. What do you suggest. Also , where do you buy your prong collars from?
Erin Clark all your questions are answered in the videos. There is a playlist called “start with these videos” after that it’s important to watch as many as you can. There isn’t just one video that will fix your issue, you will need to learn the whole process

Amazon or chewy for the prongs
Koco Garcia thanks. ❤️
Explained perfectly!
My smaller dog just attacked my big shepherd this morning. Both are males fixed and have been living together for two years
Thanks Koco for sharing gir insight. I greatly appreciate what you are doing on YT and TikTok. Are your dogs not allowed to ever play in the house? Inside the home are they required to be kn their crate or on their bed? I'm I wrong for letting my dogs play inside?
Ché Kinnard it’s a personal preference, totally up to you if you want your dogs playing inside or not.
Ugh, so so good
Great advice!
Do you ever do online one on one consultations? I have a weird situation and I need some help. Please let me know if we could work something out
Jade Harrison I absolutely do, email me koco@handoverrover.com
How do you work with a dog that knows commands but will bite a human when they are trying to leave your home or turn away from the dog?
Barbra Cherry you teach the dog to hold the commands. Duration. If the dog has a bullet proof place command, he wouldn’t have access to bite a person as they are leaving.
@@RescueDogTraining we had incident where dog got off leash and was good with the guy who caught him but as the guy turned away from hand us the leash our dog bit him. No chance of using a "place" command. What are your suggestions in this instance.

how do i get my dog to stop randomly barking, without the prong collar or other tools (family wont get those things)
Aidan Currie train everything basic obedience- make yourself more important to your dog, than anything else. Teach, “yes” and “no”
Please make another "structure" video!! One thats not just inside the house
Great video 😊. I share videos of my mini Pomeranian dog 🐕😊
What if the pup wanted some sun?
And I also want my dog to bark at my door, cuz if someone that don’t come here
