Quite frankly the best "bug out bag" video I have seen thus far and its for kids. While most simply shove knifes, axes, saws and flash lights into a very heavy bag, this bag was not only very well thought out as a parent, but it was done very well. From the small velcro straps, to the vacuum sealed diapers/food, and all the the way to the ID tag methods. I will be checking out all your other videos for sure.
My toddler has some magnets paper dolls type toy in her go-bag. It's an adult backpack which she will share with her sibling soon. I do like to keep one size bigger clothing for her because being pregnant I don't always have time to keep it updated. I like that you vacuum packed the dipper, super good idea. I do carry a change pad for a safe clean place to change dippers because you never know when you need to take care of that.
@T2U2 Thanks for the comment. I agree that food/diapers/wipes are of the highest of priority (he has 72 hours worth in his bag). However, nail clippers and files are extremely small/lightweight, so it's not exactly a burden to carry them. Plus, he often scratches his face when sleeping so we try to keep his nails properly trimmed. Perhaps I should include some emergency fishing line and a magnesium fire starter for a real bug out situation? ;)
@ralbala I'm glad you enjoyed it! The bag was the most expensive part ($90-100). The contents were less than $100. I was able to reuse items that we already had.
I have a get home bag for my 4 month old. In the bag I have 1 extra tank top onesie(Hot NC weather), sample packets of diaper cream, lotion, and shampoo(doubles as body wash), cloth diapers, clothes pins, a water filter, wipes, 4 oz bottles(can fill twice when he wants more than 4 oz. And it's half the size), and travel size suntan lotion. It's very basic, just that if my truck breaks down I can walk him home with just that in his carrier. I also keep a gallon of water and unopened can of formula in my truck

In an emergency it is a movable feast for predators, paedophiles and human traffickers. Disaster situations all around the world have been proved to be very dangerous for children and very favourable for those who pray on them. I would caution against writing your child's name visibly on them, it gives the edge to the pray, "Hey (insert child's name here) your dad told me to take you to the policeman....." and they are gone... The kid trusts them because they used his/her name. Them being identifiable when lost is a must, the ID Bracelet on the ankle is a discrete and bomb proof method. Great Video by the way, can't believe I haven't watched it already!!
Good ideas! I like it. I just want to add, I cloth diaper on a regular basis. And I have found most of todays "diaper pins" don't seem to work well, they are very dull and will not seem to pierce the diapers... I like "snappis" better, they hook on like the old type of tooth things used for ace bandages, and work extremely well. Also I didn't notice if you had a cover for the cloth diapers, they will leak with out a cover, you can make pretty light weight, and reusable wool cover, out of thrifted wool sweater (a wool sweater that has been properly lanolized doesn't leak, and is antibacterial, so doesn't need washed, unless poop gets on it).
That’s awesome my friend 👍. Having been out of the baby game for some time,as I had 3. My oldest is 23 now I would have loved one of these bags back then. Not even sure if 511 was around yet. But I use the 511 rush 12 for work now. But nice vide 👍👍
I didn't see any zip-loks for the food once you open up the vacuum bags...are those in part 2? Also...LOVE the ID system!!! Great ideas! Very well thought out...
Great video! So glad to see someone doing a video on Baby Bobs! Just started making one for two of my kids this week. An 18 month old girl and a 8 year old boy. Always looking out for ideas for them.
Awesome. I am not at all prepared for a disaster, this video is inspirational & informative. Can u give me a rough estimate of how much this bag cost to put together? Actual bag and all.
my thoughts since I have 3 kids as well: Make sure all the food you pack he will eat. I would pack more diaper ointment. Don't put his SSN on that bracelet. Pin the diaper pins to the cloth diapers that why you don't have to search for them
When you got something with Vic written on it that will most likely be good! Victorinox, VicFirth, all good choices!! Pretty sure no one on YT got something like a BabyBOB, awesome vid mate keep the awesome work!! Take care
Where do you get those velcro straps you have around baby prepper's (now kid prepper) clothes? Nevermind...found then on nowhere else but the jungle shopping site. Did I miss Mrs. Prepper's BOB video? I don't see one. Was just curious since her compliments yours and the lil' UrbanPrepper's.
@kathrynjustice05 We used to make our own baby food too, but we never dehydrated it. That sounds great though! Right now, Baby Prepper doesn't like eating baby food anymore. He wants to be one of the "big boys".
Wait - did you say you're a musician at night? When in the world do you have time to plan all this out, film it, and edit it with a day job and evening job?!? Holy cow, I want to be on your team when it hits the fan!!! :-) Great vid (as usual)! I'm sure an often-overlooked idea! I know I sure did. Keep it up!
Hello! I just found your channel and I love it, I’m taking lots of notes. My church really stresses the importance of emergency preparedness. To get started I’m putting together my family’s 72 hour kits. Is this what you would consider a 72 hour kit, or would you do something different for that?
@TheUrbanPrepper great video! I can tell you put a lot of hard effort into your BOBs. I have a question you may have already answered, where do you get your custom Velcro name tags for the packs?
@TheUrbanPrepper LMAO!! MAKE THAT BABY BUST OUT HIS OWN FIRE!!! Im a stay at home dad too but the T2U2 guy just doesnt see what u are doing. now I am a father of six sons ages 2,3,4,7,9,11 and the oldest 1 has a BOB that he has made. u did it right my friend.
Might want to put the vacuum sealed food into smaller packages so you don't open the big bag and lose food and you can separate it so you know how many meals their are. Good video though
I'm kind of sad. I thought this meant a mini-BOB, not one literally for a baby. Awesome video, it would be even cooler if you made a mini-BOB video (for times when all you can have is a small bag). Thanks!
Appreciate Video clip! Apologies for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you considered - Jericho Super Cold Sore Equalizer (probably on Google)? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my close friend Aubrey at last said ta ta to the cold sore with it.
Appreciate video content! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you considered - Jericho Super Cold Sore Equalizer (erm, check it on google should be there)? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my BF after a lifetime of fighting said good bye to the frustrating cold sore stress with it.
Cheers for the Video clip! Forgive me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you heard about - Jericho Super Cold Sore Equalizer (should be on google have a look)? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate at last kissed good bye to the cold sore issue with it.

LOL!!!! You are SO very right. It is VERY frustrating when I mess up filming and need to repack everything. Thanks for the comment!
With Kid Prepper around you might consider doing a follow up video for a BoB geared to an older kid.

Dude. Thanks so much! Yeah my bf and I are expecting another in December and love to be prepped.

@misscountersniper47 The Baby BOB is a 5.11 Tactical MOAB 10 and the main BOB is a 5.11 Tactical Rush 72. I'm glad you enjoyed this video.
@tubbygoose Thanks for the comment! Since making this video I have added some diaper covers, after a few moms recommended them to me.

Wonderful Job. I can tell you are good parent and you thought ahead to have supplies just for you little one :)

Are you going to create a PDF file of the list of items for this BOB like you did for your BOB and EDC?

Mine doesn't either anymore. I'm working on an updated video this year that is more suited for Toddlers.

You should definitely update this ! Or maybe a baby pouch to add to an existing Bag
This is the cutest thing! 🥰
Thanks a bunch! I get them from Supply Captain dot com.

Velcro Reusable Self-Gripping Cable Ties from Amazon
This is awesome... probably the first FAMILY system on YT. Well thought out! Your son is very lucky. :o)

It's a very good idea
i dont have a child but i relized some of these items can be put in my bob
Two Thumbs Up !!
Great. I'd have a 22 month old girl. I need to do a bag Bob for her.
Maybe you have heard this before. I would take different colored sharpies and just write the kids name on his/ her clothes.
I wouldn't write on the skin with a sharpie.
nice video
