I have a question I had burn 3 notes at first one for me to work with emperor Jade burn fast and green 2nd note was for my family and I know there was negative energy put on my family There is a Hex On me and my family and for everything to go bad when I burn to help them and remove the bad blood and hex And I felt deadly ill it burn green the 3rd was was for me I have always been spiritually inclined and an empath so it hits me I burned one for myself because I know it affects me after my mom and dad and I have not been feeling well. There is a bit of an acrid scent to it which is why it is best to do outside, or near a wide open window. You can burn safely indoors and out, by being mindful. Burn in a container that is non-flammable (a metal pan), use metal tongs, put a pot holder under the metal pan, or an old towel to further protect the surface you are burning upon. She may want fruit, honey, crustaceans, milk, coins (foreign coins), and the offerings may need to go to rivers she owns. (I have heard there are rivers in GA that belong to her.) Hi Supa. You can throw ashes away. Best practice is to find out where your ancestors want the ashes to go to pay additional homage to them. You can ask if they can go at the base of a tree, in the ocean, by a wood, etc.
Lol -- check out the bills you receive. I'm sure you will find markings, doodles on them too. As I state in my videos, if you 'doodle' on actual currency, it's then given to your ancestors/placed on your shrine/altar. Therefore, it is out of circulation.

Alafia Queen. The idea of ancestor money was saved by the Chinese. We have no idea if it originated with the Dravidians who traveled around the world leaving their knowledge. However, feel free to use currency you are familiar with/comfortable with - there are many kinds of ancestor money to use in your rituals. You can ask Mami Wata if she would like you to burn it on her behalf. Or, would she prefer another offering. She may want fruit, honey, crustaceans, milk, coins (foreign coins), and the offerings may need to go to rivers she owns. (I have heard there are rivers in GA that belong to her.) When it comes to deities, goddesses, and other spiritual entities, it is best to inquire as to what they prefer each time. They may want different things at different times. Bless. 🙏🏽

Yes you can! The best thing to do is to go to your Godparent(s) and ask them for their guidance on the way your ile sets up bovedas/altars and use your line's way of doing it. Blessings on your path.

Ivy Wilks Hi Ivy. Yes, I have Ancestor Money in the form of One Thousand Deeds. For me, the burn is very different as they are made of regular paper and have never burned green for me.
Please let me know if you know of any ancestor money that is made of similar paper to Joss Paper.

I was watching videos to do research and I saw where some say that the asian ancestral money would not be accepted and how they had to use african ancestral money instead . I will be ordered both the asian and the african ancestral money to see what works best !

I heard all joss paper is not equal some are strong some are weak when burning joss paper for your Ancestors, when i burn mine i do see greenish blue when burning i guess my Ancestor are receiving them. And, you can also sit quietly after the money has burned and you can ask them to speak to you directly as well. We are all mediums, we just have to get more in practice. If you don't use a limb for a long time, it begins to not work very well, right? Same thing here; use it, or lose it.

Taoism way of praying to their ancestors: Set up an altar, an ancestor photo with name on it. Put a small urn for joss stick. 2 red candles. Prepare some foods offering and a cup of drink. Then light 2 or 3 Joss sticks, it serves as our modern day wifi for communicating to your ancestors. Hold the burning joss sticks and talk to your ancestor that you are preparing foods (they like) and some $$$ for them. Do write their name on it ($$$) so that other spirit would not snatch it from them. After joss stick completely burned, tell your ancestor that the praying session ended. I burned money for the first time today and OMG... idk if it’s a coincidence but a couple of things happened in my home n it absolutely warmed my soul while scaring me at the same time. But then tonight I TRIED to burn it and it just WOULDNT light😢 I broke down so bad 😢😢😢did I offend them by getting scared? Why is this happening??
Hello Raven. No worries for you. You are OK. Those instances of amazing things that warmed your heart are your signs/messages from Spirit. It's okay that you could not burn the 2nd time. Hi Supa. You can throw ashes away. Best practice is to find out where your ancestors want the ashes to go to pay additional homage to them. You can ask if they can go at the base of a tree, in the ocean, by a wood, etc.

As I state in my videos, if you 'doodle' on actual currency, it's then given to your ancestors/placed on your shrine/altar. Therefore, it is out of circulation.

You can try a different type of Joss paper/ancestor money. Or, the ancestors you are burning to do not accept it. I would try another type of Joss paper. If it still happens, use your preferred divination system to check with that ancestor what offering he/she would prefer. Bless.
