Qudrat sahib was more than a legend. An ethereal being. His magnus opus Shahab Nama is at once history, romance, adventure, humour, satire , politics, mysticism (tasawaf), travelogue and much more. Worth a permanent bedside book. Always a treat to read. And Inshsa G is Insha G.

Great people borh of them,our trajedy we made no effort to officially preserve such literary jewels, felt bereaved to hear about the great books library in India,at least that treasure is preserved,thats a solace....
Videos and TH-cam were not available in those days. We should be thankful for their books they wrote. We should always be grateful for whatever we are given in this wonderful life.
Good to listen to the legend.But I find that the interviewer was not letting him speak his mind fully.If he had done that then we would find out more about who Qudratullah Shahab truly was.
بہت ہی زیادہ خوشی ہوئی جناب قدرت اللہ شہاب صاحب کی آواز سن کر۔ کیا ہی اچھا ہو کے عوام اس عظیم انسان کی صرف ایک ہی کتاب "شہاب نامہ" پڑھ پائیں اس کتاب میں انتہائی تفصیل سے ایوب خان سے لیکر بھٹوں تک کی ملکی سیاست کا تفصیلی ذکر ہے، اس کتاب کو پڑھنے والے کے سامنے سے ان سیاست دانوں کی اصلیت پوری طرح سامنے آ جاتی ہے۔
@@domestictv4569 haha ٹھیک ہے ضرور پڑھیں۔ اتنی محنت سے ہم نے یہ ملک بنایا تھا کہ معمولی سے کیس 40 پچاس سال عدالتوں میں چلا کریں گے۔ ویسے اس کتاب کی بجائے کسی انٹرنیشنل مصنف کی کتاب پڑھ لیں تو زیادہ بہتر ہے۔ خاص کر وہ واقعہ بہت بچگانہ لگے گا جس میں قدرت اللہ صاحب ایک مردہ عورت کی روح ایک کمرے میں پاتے ہیں۔ پھر اس کے رشتہ داروں کو خط لکھتے ہیں وغیرہ وغیرہ۔ برادر پورا ساؤتھ ایشیا ڈرامہ اور مداری ہے۔ ان کے برٹش حکمرانوں کے فلاسفرز اور رائیٹرز کو پڑھیں, جو ان کو انگلی کے اشاروں سے ان سب کو نچایا کرتے تھے۔ اصل قابلیت ان میں تھی اور اب بھی ہے۔ باقی سب آپ کے ذہن میں ڈال دیا گیا ہے کہ یہ مہان تھے۔ ہم نے تو ان پہ وقت ضائع کر دیا۔ آپ ان پہ اپنا قیمتی وقت ضائع نہ کرنا۔
Kudrit Tullah Shahab is very respectable name in the eyes of Pakistani but you can see the the face of corrupt bureaucrat and he never raised his voice during his job. Keeping the mouth shut against corrupt is an other type of corruption which he done. He is the father of corruption, corruption spread in this present form because of his criminal silence. He loved his job more than Pakistan so he was silent. Be brave and oppose every body who is responsible to bring Pakistan into the SHIT HOLE of corruption.
Sorry to say 90 % of this interview consists of voice of the host and remaining 10% of Shahab sahab’s voice, technically very illiterate host. I have fed up just at the start.
Actually Salman is right. Even though interviewer Ibn-E-Insha himself is a legend, does not mean that he can moderate professionally. Most of the questions were not asked properly. He kept dragging on his questions with his commentary. He also did not ask him any thing concrete about the context of his books so listners could attach their interest with a certain book.
I grew up reading books by Qudrat Sahab, Muftaz Mufti and roohani digest. As I grew older by middle aged, I am convinced this was all a hoax. These were just fantatists and clever idiots. I ve lost faith in faith itself and I believe this group of authors were too polite and articulate but basically snake oil salesman and perhaps ignorant of it themselves.
اسلامُ علیکُم مُجھے قُدرت شہاب مرحُوم کا شہاب نامہ پڑھنے کا شرف حاصل ہُوا ہے۔ کتاب واقعی ایک ادبی فن پارہ اور بہترین خُود نوشت سانح عُمری ہے۔ کِتاب کے آخر میں قُدرت اللہ شہاب مرحُوم نے کُچھ وظائف کا ذکر کیا ہے۔ اُن میں ایک وظیفہ یا لطیف جو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا اسم مُبارک ہے ایک مخصُوص تعداد میں پڑھنے کا ذکر کیا ہے۔میں تعداد بھُول چُکا ہُوں۔ اگر کوئئ دوست مہربانی فرما کر وہ تعداد اس فورم پر بتا دے تو مہربانی ہوگی۔ میں جس جگہ ہوں وہاں اس کتاب کا ملنا مُشکل ہے۔ مہربانی
