Another beautiful lecture as usual. Being a patient of muscular dystrophy and simultaneously a student of physiology, it's nice to know the basics. It would have been nice if you could briefly state how ROS is producing oxidative damage in such conditions where dystrophin gene is mutated.
a correction: DMD is caused by a mutation in the dystrophin gene which causes no functional dystrophin to be produced. on the other hand, Becker's muscular dystrophy results from a mutation in the dystrophin gene that leads to less amounts of dystrophin protein being produced.
a correction: DMD can also be caused (55% via deletion) by a dramatic decrease (99%) of working dystrophin (not only production of non-functional dystrophin)
Hello teacher sir,my son 9 years with DMD ,who can create or how the medicine can be created for this desease Please help guide sir Multiple exons missing 45-50 out of frame deletion, exondy 51 created in usa but dystrophin formed is very low and charges are not at all affordable, about 5crores for 1 year. Sir is there any Indian scientist or researcher who can find some cure for indian people
Pretty nice presentation!!! It was very clear and useful. Amazing job dude, thanks a lot

really nice lecture about Dystrophin proten....helps alot for me to study physiology.. thank you...
0,002% of all the muscle proteins in our body are dystrophin

U explained everything very smoothly
