@Titanium 147 - You just went from extreme to extreme. Somewhere in the middle, there are the thousands of Park Rangers that are employed by the Federal government as well as the State of California. They could post someone in this vicinity to protect the tree. Among all the ways they waste money, this would actually be legitimate and not _too_ expensive.

At this point, if someone intentionally goes to visit it, it’ll likely be viewed as culpable ignorance/negligence. If the person doesn’t care and defies the warning, disagrees with the fine that "ALL shOULD see THIS trEE" despite the current destruction, assumes that nothing will happen bc “ITz jUSt a TrEE, hehe,” or the fines are just a slap on the wrist, then be my guest.

I’m not the best person to explain it but basically it’s like in the movie avatar, they are all connected, and the oldest trees signal and guild the younger, without that you have lots of young, sick, diseased trees like we do now, it’s an overreaction to a problem few of us are informed on…I’m just a dumb roughneck so I’m legit the wrong one to do the explaining but you should totally look up some videos on the importance of old growth Forrest’s.
