    You have a very nice looking Birkin, it's funny you said you don't love it anymore because this is my first time being interested in them after seeing yours. 💕

    You’re probably keeping the spider plant in a pot that’s too small….unlike Philodendrons, spider plants like room to stretch out in and a good amount of soil to retain moisture. I usually go for wider pots/hanging planters…Good luck! Plant love from Brooklyn NYC 💚

    Hey lovely 🌱 Loving the vibe of your bedroom 😍 I've also noticed that my Philodendron Brazil that lives in my plant room, since being propped to make a new plant for my bedroom her yellow varigation has absolutely exploded. I was gifted a sport cutting of a Brazil and i added it into my mama plant and now there's so much yellow and cream varigation it almost looks like a Cream splash (without the price tag 😁) Sending you, Joe & Cleo lot's of big ol hugs 🤗 💚

      Thanks! It really is one of my happy places! And amazing that you've gotten a cool sport variegated brasil!!

    Monsters albo usually doesn't need high humidity. brownig leaves are more related water. Best ways to prevent it from browning are that first it need bright light to evaporate water fast and second u need to use fan or circulator for all day to help it.

    I was the same with spiderplants. They would die no matter what I tried. Then I water rooted one and put it in pon in a self watering pot and it grew massively this year and started blooming. So I have even more of them now to deal with haha. I've got a curly one I propped in a moss box I'm doing the same with although not in selfwatering just yet (just a reservoir) since it's quite small.

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      hmmmm that's one thing I haven't tried yet... idk if I can go through the stress of trying again though... I feel guilty for continuing to kill them!

      I put spiderplants in front of a window, let them dry out until they are pale and then water them trough, mine looks very good and I cant imagine how someone can kill it 😂@@GoodGrowing

    I have my curtsii in PON now and it's just loving life after even two weeks in PON. It is one of the hardest Hoyas I've had though... slow growing and slow to establish so you're not alone. Ive also heard this from many others😌

      oooh interesting!! My one is planted like innn a chunk of wood so not sure if I can get it out. but if I can, pon sounds ideal for them!

    Oh spider plants. I have 2 outside on the patio both with babies but I’m worried about sun needs over winter when they come in.

  • @jeremyflowers3823
    @jeremyflowers3823 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Let the spider plant completely dry to where the plant leaves close up then water it . to much water will cause the tips of leaves to turn brown and leaves to die . It has tube like roots that store a lot of water and can go for a while with out it

  • @HippieHC
    @HippieHC 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’ve noticed on my scindapsis that the new leaves look “stuck” but I think that’s just how it grows, maybe to protect the still developing leaf? I’ve “unstuck” them like you did and it was fine but it doesn’t seem to affect the new growth negatively if you just leave it :)

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah that's probably true! I just like helping them out... probs not good practice though 😅

    I too struggle with spider plants ! What is it ?! I get lots of brown leaves yet some people have great ones and barely touch them ? Can’t seem to win whether I ignore or care for them. I would love a plant over a shelf over my bed 🌿💚

    • @HippieHC
      @HippieHC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Me too! 😫 I wonder if there are just a lot of them out there now that have been propagated from not genetically ideal mother plants? Definitely stay away from the curly ones if you struggle with them, I’ve had mine for years and it’s STILL not happy, my regular one grows almost twice as fast 😂

      omg me too mine decided to all die on me at the same time and my curly spider was so beautiful 😭

      I experienced this before too! But my spider plants have been doing well since I've done the following:
      1. Let tap water sit overnight before using it for watering, or treat the water with a priming solution (for aquariums).
      2. Water the spider plants only when the leaves start to seem like they are looking paler in colour, or seem to look translucent.

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have no clue! I've seriously tried everything!! And tbh it's gone in the bin now!
      And I highly recommend a plant shelf above the bed for good jungle vibes. Just be prepared for your partner to occasionally complain that they get dripped on by the plant's guttation 😂

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you go to my channel and search moss poles a couple different videos should come up. But the one about why I don't like self watering moss poles is probably the most informational on how I use poles now

    I hope you washed or sanitized your hands after touching and pulling on the plant that you think may have a disease and then touched other plant leaves. Just saying, better safe than sorry. Ah, the things we do unbeknownst too our behavior.
