نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "میری امت میں کچھ لوگ ایسے ہوں گے، جو بدکاری، ریشم، شراب اور موسیقی کو حلال ٹھہرا لیں گے۔ ان میں سے کچھ متکبر قسم کے لوگ پہاڑوں کی چوٹیوں پر واقع اپنے بنگلوں میں رہائش رکھیں گے اور جب کوئی ضرورت مند آدمی ان کے پاس اپنی ضرورت پوری کرنے کے لئے جائے گا تو کل آنے کا کہہ کر ٹال دیں گے۔ اللہ تعالی رات کے وقت ہی ان پر پہاڑ کو گرا دے گا اور ایسے ہی کچھ اور لوگوں کو قیامت تک کےلئے بندر و خنزیر بنا دے گا۔"
(بخاری ، کتاب الاشربہ، حدیث 5268)
گانا بجانا سننا حرام ہے اور شیطانی افعال میں سے ہے۔
قرآن مجید میں ارشاد باری تعالیٰ ہے:
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ (سورۃ لقمان 6)
اور لوگوں میں سے کچھ ایسے ہیں ،جو اس لئے لہو الحدیث ( یعنی بیہودہ چیزیں)خریدتا ہے کہ (لوگوں کو ) بغیر علم کے اللہ کی راہ سے بہکا دے اور اس کا مذاق اڑائے ۔ ایسے ہی لوگوں کے لئے رسوا کرنے والا عذاب ہے۔ "(لقمان)
اس آیت کی تفسیر میں امام محمد بن جریر الطبریؒ (المتوفی 310 ھ) نے اپنی تفسیر (جامع البيان ) میں
سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کا تفسیری قول نقل فرمایا ہے:
عن أبي الصهباء البكري أنه سمع عبد الله بن مسعود وهو يسأل عن هذه الآية: (وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِى لَهْوَ الحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللهِ بغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ) فقال عبد الله: الغناء، والذي لا إله إلا هو، يردّدها ثلاث مرّات
یعنی سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے (ومن النّاس من یّشتری لھو الحدیث)کے بارے میں تین مرتبہ قسم کھا کر کہا کہ لہو الحدیث سے مراد گانا بجانا ہے۔
اس طرح تفسیر طبریؒ میں مفسر قرآن سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ سے لہو الحدیث کی تفسیر گانا بجانا اور گانا سننا منقول ہے۔( عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس (وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِى لَهْوَ الحَدِيثِ) قال: الغناء.)
سیدنا جابررضی اللہ عنہ، امام مجاہدؒ اور سیدنا عکرمہ جیسے جلیل القدر مفسرین نے بھی لہو الحدیث سے گانا بجانا وغیرہ ہی مراد لیا ہے۔
