Wow, I can hardly believe someone would propose Birmingham... it's really not a favorable option if there are alternatives. In terms of the crime rate, it's certainly not a wise choice. Some of my colleagues from England have heard of people visiting there and they were quite scared, even asking, "Why did you go there?" Furthermore, the city center is currently in quite a state due to the construction of HS2. I highly advise against it (unless safety isn't a concern for you).

去過Manchester 同Birmingham ，最後揀Birmingham 因為地理位置好~又近倫敦D，自從英聯邦運動會後環境乾淨左好多，相比之下Manchester 市中心好多香口膠同污糟D。Birmingham 又有戶外同室內街市，唐人街又大D好行過Manchester
