  • Chandrayaan 3: India Launches Moon Mission Into Space | Firstpost Unpacked
India has launched its third mission to the moon, Chandrayaan 3. ISRO's ambitious moon mission lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the launch. The mission aims to make a soft landing on the south pole of the moon. If successful, India will become the fourth country in the world to achieve a soft landing on the moon, after the US, China and Russia. The mission follows Chandrayaan 1 and Chandrayaan 2.
Here's a look at how India emerged as a key player in the global race for space.

An American movie about mars called martian literally costed 100 million compared to real space mission with 75 million

That Martian movie got a total ticket collection of $858 million. Which means $750 million profit. But, the $75 million spent on chandrayan is total loss or total waste of money will zero 0 return. This money could have been used to construct many government hospitals for poor Indians or for any other useful purpose. In 1966, Luna 9 became the first spacecraft to achieve a controlled soft landing on the moon. In 1969, man landed on the moon. So, what is the achievement in someone repeating it after more than 50 years. Shows how much technologically behind India is when compared to USA. The Martian cost $108 million to make. Fortunately, it proved a huge success. The movie made $228.4 million in the United States and Canada alone and $630.2 million worldwide. This made it the 10th-highest-grossing movie of the year.

@@Fontana5481 firstly there are satellites too in this project which helps India for better weather forecasting, calculating direction of major cyclones, security and defence as india is surrounded by countries like pakistan and china and also has a huge coastline which needs surveillance, better communication channels, etc etc. All of this is going to help the poor. The real poor are people like you who have scarcity of rational thinking and cannot think beyond instant gratification. Also we can decide if we want to go further in science and promote scientific temper in India. And yes we are far behind USA in technology but the scientists of USA itself commend that the things they spent billions upon can be made in just a fraction of that. So in those terms we are ahead of USA or from any other country in the world.

TODAY THE 14TH OF JULY 2023 A PROUD DAY FOR EVERY INDIAN FOR THE SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF MISSION CHANDRAYAAN THREE. CONGRATULATIONS TO "ISRO" THE SCIENTISTS AND THOSE WHO HAD LOCALLY SUPPLIED EQUIPMENTS BY OUR INDIANS TO MAKE A CHANDRAYAAN LIFE SIZE. AFTER THE FAILURE OF MISSION TWO, IN FACT I WOULDN'T CALL A TOTAL FAILURE. AS ONLY LUNAR VHECILE FAILED TO LAND SUCCESSFULLY.BUT THE ORBITOR IS STILL FUNCTIONING, SENDING VITAL INFORMATION REGARDING MOON'S ATMOSPHERE AND SO ON. WELL MAKING CORRECTION IN MISSION THREE AS MAKING A LANDER MORE ROBUST TO WITHSTAND THE JURKS TO MAKE IT LAND SMOOTHLY. CHANDRAYAAN THREE WILL CARY THE SAME OPERATION THAT CHANDRAYAAN TWO COULDN'T DO. IT WILL LAND ON THE SOUTH POLE OF THE MOON 🌙 THE COOLEST REGION WITH NO LIGHT. BUT THE YAAN HAS ITS OWN ARRANGEMENTS .IT WILL SEARCH FOR WATER, IS SUCCESSFUL THEN MISSION IS TO SPLIT WATER TO OGYGEN AND HYDROGEN. THAT HYDROGEN WILL BE USED AS A FUEL FOR FUTURE LAUNCH OF SATTELITES FROM MOON TO OTHER SPACE FOR RELAUNCH. AND OTHER ACT IS TO FIND MINIRAL DEPOSITS USABLE FOR THE COUNTRY.. WE ALL PRAY THAT THE MISSION IS SUCCESSFUL. THAT INDIA WILL BE THE FOURTH COUNTRY TO STAND TALL NEXT TO USA RUSSIA AND CHINA.. IN FACT CHINA GOT SUCCESS IN ITS VERY FIRST TRIAL. LETS CELEBRATE TODAY. JAI HIND BHARAT MATA KI JAI. PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN..👍👊🚀🛰️🇮🇳🇮🇳 VINOD BHALLA.

India is extremely and painfully slow with innovation in crucial tech areas ....especially in science and research. It is always playing catch up never seems to pioneer in any field. Space tech can only progress under private sector as the govt sector is an ineffective and inefficient behemoth. Space mining will be the ultimate goal and a crucial economical driver for space tech in coming decades and unless India masters serious space skills ...it will be left far behind ...
