Nothing better in Drum Corps history than a Jim Ott horn line. Also nothing more tragic than losing someone so suddenly when he was just hitting his prime. Thanks for all you did and RIP!!!
Psst - the footage was from 1979. Great stuff!
Hello DCI!
I Like Tama Remo Vic Firth Sabian Bergerault And Latin Percussion!
For Waltrip Ram Band!
Kinda wish they would have played it through to the end of the closer.
Me too! I was like, "Aww, man" lol
O tempo Passou e tudo evoluiu Grandiosamente a musica os instrumentos,, viva a tecnologia !!
My back still hasn't recovered from marching xylo
Such future
Ahhhh yes the old days of drum corp where they used G horns
The cymbals at 0:38 have such a weird slow flip. Am I the only one to see that
Did they not have front ensembles?
Nope
There used to be a rule back in the day requiring any instrument used by the corps to be able to be carried by a member on and off the field and hence the lack of front ensembles
Gone are the days of marching with a timpani drum
@@deanking6405 If that's the case, then why did the 27th Lancers and Kilties ground their timpani in 1978?
@@MicahtheDrumCorpsPseudoboomer did they not have a line of members carry those instrument onto and off of the field?
G bugles make for better show design. That is why every core is scoring on average 3,000 points lower than in the 80's. Drum corps is 100% about design brah, and e'rbody knows that G bugles automatically raises the design score by 7,000 because loud means good... MEANS... good... and that added MEAN adds more MEANING which is 100% of the score, you feel me?
