Just purchased a fabulous set of these pencils. I can't wait to play. Can you tell me,if they can work on fabrics and not rub off. I do alot of fiber Art with my sewing machine, freemotion drawing. Was thinking I might try using some of these on my sewing projects. Thank you.
Awesome video. I just order my set, so it was very helpful. I have the aqua blend pencils and I love them. I have some cheap colored pencils and they don't blend well. I can see the results are so much better with a quality product. Love all the product from Crafters Companion. I look forward to seeing more videos from you. Great teacher!
Thank you for your great review. I had these pencils in my Amazon basket, together with the watercolour set, but I removed them after watching quite a few negative reviews. You have changed my mind and I think I'll buy them after all. I'm looking forward to seeing your review of the watercolour version.
Fantastic tutorial thankyou. I very much appreciated that you took your time and didn't wind on so that I could follow the steps right through. I have now subscribed and look forward to your future tutorials.
Thank you for those useful informations. I just saw these pencils sold in set of 144 on Amazon, and really curious about its characters. I love the result that you got in the video, I guess I’d like to hold them in my hands. ☺️☺️
Hi why don’t you put a small makeup sponge into a small container like the ones in hotels that hold your jam and pour some of the blending solution onto the sponge. You can then get better idea of the amount of solution you are dabbing onto your paper stub 😄
Hi Claire, love your reveiw videos. Especially colouring book reveiws, I'm keeping a look out for ones ideal for my new spectrum noir alcohol markers. How would compare these colour blend with steadtler ergosoft triangular pencils besides that there are more shades and cheaper? Maria xx
The ColourBlend and Ergosoft are completely different levels of pencil. The Ergosoft are higher quality than basic pencils, but nowhere near as soft & blendable as the ColourBlend which are premium grade x
Hi Claire, I'm so glad I watched this!! I have the five 24 pencil sets but when you said a total of 144 I was totally confused!! I went to Amazon US and all they seem to have are the 5 sets that is where I got mine, but finally went to the Amazon UK site and saw the two 12 pencils sets!! I don't guess they have them here yet!! So anyway, I ordered them too!! I know they aren't getting great reviews here, but I personally love them, and I have all brands of colored pencils out there except maybe some of the lower budget-minded kind!! And I love these better than Prismas and at least equal to my polychromos and my Holbein set too!! So, was glad to know I'll soon have *all* of them!! Thanks for doing this, and thanks so much for showing how to use the odorless mineral spirits!!! I've been doing it all wrong, so can't wait to try it the right way!! Thanks so much for all your videos, o love them!! ❤
I hear that these are oil based, so why does this say they are wax based? I'm confused and it's important to know, which they really are, due to blending and shading. Please advise.
Hi, I really hate this color pencils, they breaks easily and the pigments are very awful like cheap child crayons. I bought the 5 sets and I regret it. For the price, I prefer the arteza, castle art of Marco renoir.
I really love the way the red and orange look together
I really like these pencils. They are bold and soft. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing I love those pencils

Excellent review and your description of light and shadow building was REALLY great! You touched upon it instead if going too deep!

Wounds are those crayons that you can love or hate. I wonder what they really are. Do you have a sampler of all colors?
Thanks for the great tips and techniques video.
Now I know how to use my prismacolor markers that Ive been hesitant to use.
Fantastic tutorial thankyou. I very much appreciated that you took your time and didn't wind on so that I could follow the steps right through. I have now subscribed and look forward to your future tutorials.
What paper do you use
Great review. Some of these pencils have become really hard to find these days.
Great Video Claire - I have just purchased these pencils & have to say for the price they are really good ❣️
hi, which one is better? the marco renoir or the spectrum noir? thanks for the very great review btw.
Claire, how do you sharp these pencils? I have the set and they break more than prismas. Is there a sharpener you recommend?
Electric sharpener is best x

Good idea!
👋 to be perfectly honest it wasn’t my idea I got the tip from crafters companion Leanne Chivers 😉.
Glad I found this video, saw these were in Jazza's 2nd art box and was wondering how good they were
Great Video, Thank You.
You are welcome!

Would you recommend these spectrum colour blend over Faber castell polychromos.
Polychromos are the better pencil imo x

They're definitely wax predominant pencils x

It would better if an larger image was used. ..very hard to see what is going on
