The fact Cannonbolt barely changes after millions of years of evolution means that their species is already perfect. I'd take that as a compliment

Definitely agree. I think the issue is people wanting flashy aliens. Ultimate Wildmutt for sure from an evolutionary standpoint should have gone through more changes, but people expect Ultimate Cannonbolt to shoot lasers or something when his initial form shows no indication of evolving that way
Fun fact about ultimate Cannonbolt the spikes on his body can be launched like projectiles but Ben seemingly didn’t know about this ability or chose not to use it.

The cartoon network website at the time of Ultimate Alien's release did state that Ultimate Humungasaur was able to grow up to twice the regular growth size of Humungasaur, however, the show never took that into consideration.

Glad to know that I wasn’t going crazy. I vividly remember the Cartoon Network website stating that he can grow. Iirc, Ultimate Humungasaur is the size of fully growned base Humungasaur, but he can grow twice that amount. But I do get the point of gain a power, lose a power like InkTank says.
The Ink Tank approaches the ultimate aliens concept with more better execution compared to the UAF series.

UAF was supposed to be simpler yet affective. 1 million years of evolution doesn't really make a huge difference.
Some of the Ink Tanks Ultimates work like Four Arms and Cannonbolt, but others like Big Chill and Echo Echo don't.
Their version of ultimate wildmutt was so much better than the original.

So for starters the ultimatrix was not unstable, it was not complete, and albedo not only stole it but also the completed core that it lacked to power it
My favourite ultimate used to be ultimate humangasour, but he loses too much, so my new fav is ultimate Big chill, big chills design was pretty good and now he's red, my fav color, definitely my favourite

I always considered Chromastone as the ultimate version of Diamondhead.
Ultimate Swampfire is personally my favorite Ultimate form. It’s a reasonable trade-off of weakening his regeneration and general all-roundedness for the sake of more power (And attack options) as well as a far more durable body. It’s also way better and more practical than Swampfire’s Blossomed form and it’s a shame Albedo never used him in Omniverse

From what I understand, Ultimate Big Chill fires plasma that drains heat.
An ultimates design depends on the popularity of that alien Ultimate alien series tried new aliens while updating current ones, and bringing back occasional classics like Fourarms/Heatblast. Cost of a new mold was covered by the popularity of certain aliens, now Ultimates were always meant to be Albedos thing, but that would require him being a constant threat in UA, plus transformations like Super Saiyan are popular in fiction so they went with that route and eventually pokemon did the same idea with Mega evolutions. Jetray was an option to get an ultimate but Echo Echo took more precedent for marketing and concept ideas, however Chromastone, Goop, Alien X, and especially Brainstorm(due to lack of sales) were never options for ultimates, but Cannonbolt, and Waybig were for their sheer popularity sake in the brand, now while Wildmutt(like Brainstorms) didn't sale well during classic run they brought him back to keep trademark up, and Wildmutts animation is easy to do just being a big dog unlike Heatblast(animated fire), Fourarms(his arms), XLR8(was saved for the generator rex crossover and fasttrack animation cells were already produced so thats why XLR8 didn't appear in UA).

For Ultimate Cannonbolt, they could have traded his roll up ability or shell endurance for speed, with a more slim and aerodynamic design and he could have had smaller metal balls on his feet sort of like XLR8. I would also imagine him with sharper, and longer metal claws to act as weapons. If they kept the original ultimate cannonbolt they should have at least made those metal bolts on his body detachable and used as projectiles like a hedgehog

For me the ultimate form is a win if it looks completely different from the standard alien form along with new ways to use their powers/new powers.
So Ult. Spider Monkey, Ult. Swampfire and Ult. Echo Echo are my favourites especially Ult Echo Echo.

The reason why ult way Big and ult Wildmutt don't attack Ben in the Ultimatrix is because albedo never had access to them,
Thus having only ult swampfire, Echo Echo, humungasour, big Chill, CannonBolt and also ult Spidermonkey attack Ben..

It’s because Ben never attempted to turn them into ultimates so they didn’t gain sentience since they didn’t exist until being turned into ultimate

@@Musssssj5 Ultimate wildmutt was used once before the sacrifice episode but I believe it didn’t gain sentience, just luck. Ultimate way big was used wayyy after that episode.

I think Albedo likes to show off his strength, that's why he relies so much on his ultimate forms, no matter if they're stupid or simple or bed.
Ben also relied on his ultimates forms but there were also situations where he just used his base forms.

I think Albedo's new "ultimates" are less "1000000 years of intense disaster/warzone combat" and more "nano machine infused mutations". Stronger than the base forms but nowhere near as powerful as actual Ultimates.
Interesting theory! But why do you think so? After all, Albedo was the one to invent the evolutionary function. Why would his ultimates be of a lower quality than Ben's?

IMO while I find UA's concept interesting, Aggregor being a lame villain and the second season's complete lack of direction killed its quality.

I would've liked the idea of having ultimate versions of ben's aliens more if each of his aliens actually got one than just a very select few. personally would've wanted ultimate heatblast, fourarms and xlr8. well except for alien x because he's already hacks.

I have always though that Cannonbolt looks like a basketball ball (even though his abilities make him rather similar to a bowling ball) and that Ultimate Cannonbolt looks like a mace. Yeah, the redesign is cool but other than that, it doesn't have much to offer. However, he could contain the radioactive P'andor and that's a feat. The reason why Wildmutt only evolved the ability to talk may not be that stupid. In a worst case scenario say, predators, the sentient Wildmutt could communicate with other species and forge alliances, and what other way to better do this than speech?

hate to argue with you but ultimate wildmutt's tail has stinger like socprion , they could have had it have venom granted. Plus talking is a big boost to working together. now ultimate cannonbolts spikes were suppose to shoot off it had that power in the racing game so he was going to have a range attack but backed out. they should have kept it.

New ult concept for wildmutt:
+Gain the ability to talk and imitating noice for trap his preys and generate smokes
-loses his quills projection.
For cannonbolt:
+ Gain a more resistant skin and the ability to generate fire for becoming a living fireball
-lose his shell
Big chill:
+Gain fire projection, heat absorption, and he is far stronger
-lose intangibility
Way big:
-Better manipulation of his cosmic energy, he is now taller than the moon
-can't enter in smaller areas anymore, cannot talk
Thats actually cool, and a fair balance to keep Ben from being too OP

Ultimate Echo Echo is in my opinion one of the Ben's strongest aliens. Not counting cosmic manipulators UEE has enough fire power to bring down just about anything.

Not a pure weapon. Even Ben doesn't use it as a weapon. He uses it to become a hero by utilizing the natural talents and abilities of the various species and thus representing what good can be accomplished when they come together. The idea of a device that subjects the species through evolution by warfare and combat is just an insult to all of this.

well it kinda makes sense some aliens evolved in already hellish environments, and some looking at wrath here where probly apex already so very little the simulation would upgrade, but something like echo echo which was obviously a prey animal being forced to evolve to a apex species would change alot.
Ultimate as a show ultimately suffered because its animation budget was cheapened and likely had cartoon network demanding they create more ultimates for marketing and merch.

I like the idea of ultimates, but I'm not a fan of the execution. Especially ultimate Humungosaur, his design is good but his powers make no seance, how do you go from growing in size to shooting missiles?

Alien x is the one alien that cant go ultimate and that's okay because he's prettymuch omnipotent and you cant improve on something that's already omnipotent and able to do whatever it wants whenever it wants.

Let's give better ultimates. If ultimate canon ball is just with spikes then let the spikes be adjustable and the shape itself when in canon ball form shoul be able to squeeze in order to become more like a tire or a bullet or a drill. Big chills whole thing is to be cold and phase type so what if big chill in ultimate form be capable of stealing and give back energy like feedback but in this case heat and when ever he phases it should be capable of using the potential energy in the molecular bonds to bounce back like mirko from mha. Lastly wild mutt should essentially become more animalistic and be capable of camouflage and have more sensory options like eyes ears electrical sensing and stuff. Ultimate wrath should have the ability to use his anger as power the angrier he gets the more powerful he gets. And way big should have flexible growth like randomly become smaller or bigger or make certain organs smaller or bigger on command like imagine a smaller punch after landing becomes huge giving extra boost. If I were to make an ultimate xlr8 I'll make it have gears for speed and power and have him have two tails that acts as both an anchor and a whip.
