Congratulations, Brisbane!
Post Olympics 2028 Vietnam will see you there!
I was hoping this would be allowed to be reposted. Amazingly epic! Much love from Los Angeles, California
Human Nature: here have a good presentation of the anthem
Julie Anthony: im gonna end these boys entire careers
except their careers didn't end, and whos Julie Anthony?
@@Bernardo_ng1994 Who's Julie Anthony? Only the legendary Australian soprano and national treasure, and a mainstay of the Sydney Opera House for nearly 40 years.
Well, Human Nature were only providing the introduction to Julie Anthony, nobody was trying to pretend that they were the main event. I enjoyed both - Human Nature's beautiful harmonies, and then Dame Julie's epic operatic rendition.

Love to hear the National Anthem of Australia, even know how to sing it as well.
If we talk about the anthem Julie anthem is the oficial voice no one like her peter macdowell wrote but Julie voice is the heart . NO ONE LIKE JULIE
The greatest Olympic opening..Bravo Australia (fair).
The greatest performance of that wonderful anthem you will ever hear, and the only national anthem rendition to get even close to Whitney Houston’s Star Spangled Banner. With love from England. Sensational from Julie Anthony, spine tingling and perfect my grandad would have loved this (born in Nyngan)
To think i had the privilege of getting to watch Cathy Freeman represent our wide brown land in person. I've never felt more proud and lucky to be an Australian than i was that day watching a black woman take on the world wearing the green and gold! Sydney still holds the #1 place in my mind for most well executed games ever!
The sheer amount of patriotism during this period in Sydney was infectious. I dont know how we ever got to such a low point today.
It was New Millennium.
God bless Australia.
The best rendition of Advance Australia Fair I've ever heard. Greetings from Poland. :-)
My very favorite movie THE MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER!

Greatest Olympic opening ever. (from USA)
I hope Julie Anthony sings in 2032 and go back to sing with Australian Singers on the Audience zone!
Yes!!! 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
We can hope
No possibility, nowadays she is over 70 years and she's retired from her musical career since 2000.
Not going to happen. She is retired now and not in good health.
This amazing opening ceremony happened 20 years ago. How lucky to be an Australian!
idk why but this version of australia's anthem sounds so nostalgic.
Come on Brisbane. Can’t wait to experience this in my home state. 🇦🇺
You got it, mate.
Your home state? Tell that to someone who cares.
Woot woot! Can't wait for 2032!!
