  • This is our Australian National Anthem along with the theme from "The Man from Snowy River" sang during the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games in the year 2000, together with our 25th Prime Minister Mr. John Winston Howard (1996 to 2007) .
    Performed by James Morrison, Swing City, Human Nature singing group, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Julie Anthony ...
    Please note : I do not own the copyright to the music pieces in this clip. However the National Anthem of Australia belongs to all Australians and it was sang to us and visitors including everyone around the world watching the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games in year 2000.
    SME has allowed the fair use of this piece of music and this video clip to be uploaded for all Australians to look back upon and to cherish and remember this big part of our history that made us so wonderfully proud and for the many generations to come to see and enjoy as much as we did.
    Thank you Sony Music Entertainment (SME) for granting this permission.

    We did do it soooooo well indeed !
    Thank you kindly.
    Nara ............ ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
    Australians all let us rejoice,
    For we are young and free;
    We've golden soil and wealth for toil;
    Our home is girt by sea;
    Our land abounds in nature’s gifts
    Of beauty rich and rare;
    In history’s page, let every stage
    Advance Australia Fair.
    In joyful strains then let us sing,
    Advance Australia Fair.
    Beneath our radiant Southern Cross,
    We’ll toil with hearts and hands;
    To make this Commonwealth of ours
    Renowned of all the lands;
    For those who’ve come across the seas
    We’ve boundless plains to share;
    With courage let us all combine
    To Advance Australia Fair.
    In joyful strains then let us sing,
    Advance Australia Fair.

      Hey son-of-a=gun. Did you know that the State of Western Australia is 4 times the size of Texas and the people there are twice as smart? An Israeli who helps control the US once told me this when I visited Tel Aviv looking for where Israel hid it's so-called Iraqi 'weapons of mass destruction' we all heard so much about so the US could invade yet another country on behalf of its Israeli masters.

      Zip zapper lol I get it I used to think this but u have to understand that the Americna people aren't corrupt its their politics that decided to go to war for no reason. 60% of the public said no and it sparked the largest protest in history, the Americans aren't stupid. Plus more Texans have a full 4 year college degree than Australians in terms of proportion of population. Their incomes are much better than us. Again the only thing they suck at is their politics and their inability to provide universal services like free education and healthcare, etc. But I understand ur opinion people just show Texas like that for no reason like it's kinda sad

    This performance of the Australian anthem by Julie Anthony was on par with Whitney Houston's performance of the Star Spangled Banner in the Super Bowl in 1991. I also think the Star Spangled Banner performance the next year by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in Salt Lake City Winter Olympics as the tattered but still intact that flew on top of the World Trade Center as it fell on 9/11 was so amazing and heart rending for Americans, given the meaning of the song itself.

    Sitting here, watching this 20 years later and remembering 9-year-old me watching it live on TV.
    I feel the same now as I did then.
    I may not approve of how my country is run or of what certain politicians and industries are trying to do with it.
    But I could not be more proud of our culture and our spirit.
    Sixty thousand years of history and culture, camaraderie and bravery, resilience and resistance, strength and courage, lovable larrakin-ism and mateship.
    Through fire, flood and famine, through war and economic woes, through the worst the world could throw at us, our spirit has NEVER been broken!
    We're a melting pot of all cultures and tongues, we celebrate diversity and inclusivity. We never take ourselves too seriously and we're always equally ready for a bit of hard yakka or for a beer and a yarn.
    We help each other and take pride in our strong sense of community. We're a little coarse at times but it's always in good fun. And despite the attempts of some to divide and discourage us we still stand strong together.
    I love my country and all it stands for! I am PROUD to be Australian!
