That's a very good receiver and pairs well with the gll3-330cg. I haven't maxed it out yet but had no problem detecting line on a Florida full sunshine day at 150 ft.
I have 2 of these and they worked fine at first, but now they don't work at all. I have a non rotary Bosch laser (400 foot I think it was about$500). Put fresh batteries in the receiver, powers up, but doesn't detect the line. Any idea why?
oh man, it looks like it can be a little tricky to hold it perfectly vertical on a wall. could there be a chance of a slight mistake in pencil mark due to how I'm holding it against the wall? example if i'm a little off tilted to a side?
Hello, thank you very much for sharing this type of information, very useful, I wanted to see if this laser receiver is compatible with the bosch GLL3-300 laser level?
Not getting any answer I decided to buy it anyway. It’s working perfectly with my gcl100-80cg level, the receiver was facing the sun, not a cloud in the sky. I started at about 75 feet and went up to 160 and It was still receiving the laser signal
Very dumb question. When and why do you need this product? Saw you show that you can draw a mark on the wall when you get it lined up but why cant you just mark where the laser is? I feel like Im missing something simple haha
It’s typically used outside when it’s too bright out to see the laser. So we use the receiver to locate it. Perfect for decks and fences, Or grading. Hope that helps
I would like a receiver that tells me exactly how many millimetres up or down, some rotary laser receivers have this feature. It would also be nice if the laser bracket had a small remote controlled servo to align the beam with the receiver horizontally.
That would be sweet. For the price point Bosch is amazing. But when you get into Say Hilti for example. It’s a whole different world of accuracy ,options and price.
Damn 10 mins no action... They are annoying as hell on site, you can't see the LCD arrows from a distance and is hard to hear over other tools and tradies. The simple red light green light (centre) works best. The lights on the back are useless
Does it work with other lasers other than Bosch? Serious question as im looking to get one but I don't have a Bosch brand laser

Just the info I was looking for . Thanks for your time and knowledge.
Happy it helped!

@@MarkJolley check that the batteries are new, I found that when the battery starts to get low, it just doesn’t work
does it need to be "paired" to the laser?
You mentioned you have a receiver for the red one. Can you guide me where to get one or the model number of the receiver. Thank you
It is works with standard red GLL3-80? Or only with green ? Because here you tested with old model

I have cut a cardboard shade for the receiver out of a tim hortons cup. Works great!
doesit work with the Bosh GLL 3-50 Laser?
Hey guys, is it possible to import Bosch products except to Yemen?
Also works as Vertical level?
Yes if you use the verticals line on the laser, works with all 3 laser beams.

Awesome that helped me out a lot...👍👍😎
Glad to hear it!
Hi does it work for vertical lines
yes

that's great to hear, I have noticed that when the battery gets a bit low it does have some issues in the sun as well. thanks for the update!
My lr6 can only detect less than 1m away only.. Why?
Your red one doesn't work cause it doesn't have the pulse mode.

Check out the Bosch LR 45
Will this work with Milwaukee's Green lasers?
I doubt it,
Hi, is the GLL3-80CG the same function as the GLL3-330CG? Thank you
The 330 thing is just imperial units.

LR7 works with green AND red.
I have GLL 3-80 CG and it doesn't work with green line
The real test is outside in the sun , how far it work and how acurate.
Very true. The sun really effects it, you have to create a shadow over the receiver for it to work properly.
Shadow? At more than 15 meter in the sun you will need an eclipse ...
@@maximuspareo lol , just put your hand over the top of it. I do it all the time.
@@hammerandhomeI want to use it for outdoor work... So will it work ok? Thanks for answer
Pendulum lock when you move your laser geez
😬
he said 15 to 150ft , it's a receiver, not a laser!! you can see a bosch green lasers for along way outside. why would you need a receiver for
As soon as I saw that tape measure he's using stopped watching
Lol, I have a lot of different tapes, that one is good for beginners
