- I wanted to give a proper update on what's been going on in life and here on the channel, since there's been some big changes going down, and what things will be looking like/what to expect going forward. I wanted to give a proper update on what's been going on in life and here on the channel, since there's been some big changes going down, and what things will be looking like/what to expect going forward. First and foremost, thank you for being here and I hope you're doing well, truly, wherever you are. If you're brand new, welcome to the channel and welcome to the 502! I appreciate you spending some of your time with us, and hope to see you around a stream or video sometime.
For the subscribers, members, and new people coming in, this post will give you the most up to date idea of what’s been happening and what’s to come.
I’m currently working on some of the most meaningful projects of my life that have been many years in the making, and as I'm evolving in life, it only makes sense for the channel to do the same. Those of you that have been around, I’m sure you’ve noticed some changes over the last few months, but I can assure you they are all for the better.
I understand this is primarily a gaming channel, so I won't be sharing everything here and will do my best not to mix my other work with what we do here. We’ll definitely share it when applicable and helpful, but that's not the purpose of this channel, even if it is a byproduct. In short, I’m incredibly grateful for my life and experiences that have led me to understandings and perspectives that are able to help people in very real ways, and it’s been interesting to see how that’s benefitted people here in a much deeper way than simply gaming (and am very grateful for that).
Also, I’m going to do my best not to make it sound like this is the end of anything, because it most definitely isn’t. This truly is the beginning, but I'm sure it will sound different at times, so I just wanted to note that.
We started this channel simply as a way to share gaming clips with one of my best friends, and through the past 4+ years has evolved into so much more:
- From the outstanding community that you've all created, turning into almost an extended family now all across the globe.
- To the countless memories created together in streams and videos, of all kinds; winning together, losing together, learning together, sharing milestone moments of our lives together, good times and tough, growing in mind, body, spirit, and gaming all along the way.
- To the support of our veterans both past and present, honoring them and their families, from WWII to Vietnam, to Iraq and Afghanistan; learning and actually embodying some of the core values that they and I hold so dear, raising over $1000 for veteran organizations like the C4 Foundation. I've dreamed since I was a kid to be able to give back to those communities even a sliver of what they've given me, and you've all made that come true in so many ways and continue to do so. It's exciting to know as well that this really is just the beginning of that too, and I'm looking forward to the ways we continue to honor them. And again, thank you for allowing this to be a space for that.
- To the unimaginable support, kindness, and generosity shown not only to me and my family, but others in the community, and around the world as well, spending your time and resources with us here is something I will never take for granted and please know that you all have my eternal gratitude.
- I couldn't be more proud of what this channel and community has become and is today, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for all of us as we move into the next chapter of the 502, channel, and life.
We're still going to have the high quality gameplay, the high quality people, the positive energy and atmosphere, the integrity, the mindset and values, the resources to help in times of need, the comedic relief, the storytelling, etc., it’s just going to look different. Our schedule is going to be all over the place, sometimes 1 stream in a week, sometimes 2 or 3, and sometimes none, to be completely honest. This season of my life is just calling for less gaming, which makes sense considering how much we've done it over the past 4 years, and I can’t deny is partly influenced by the state of gaming as a whole right now, but that is more of an interesting coincidence. We'll always game and always love gaming, so again, this is not the end of anything, but simply a necessary transition.
I love this community and love spending time with you all, and for some of you, I know how much it means to you to have this place to spend your time, so I do apologize for the changes in certain ways and appreciate your understanding as things start to look different. We’ll still be around, and when a game comes around that we truly enjoy and want to share that, you’ll see that here, for sure. And if you’d like to stay in touch or updated outside of the channel/stream, join us on Discord, on Instagram, whatever it might be, and we’ll keep in touch there.
For the members and those looking to support financially, I want to again apologize for the abrupt end to the memberships and monetization on the channel. It surprised you as much as it did me, considering there was zero forewarning. We were never told what caused it aside from “reused content,” but am almost positive it is because of a documentary we uploaded over 3 years ago. It started to gain traction in June, and apparently TH-cam decided that it was too close to “reused content” for their liking, so they cut monetization off on July 2 with no prior warning. Unfortunately TH-cam pulled another quick one on me by saying originally that I could reapply for monetization after 30 days, only to have that switched to 90 days once the 30th was hit. So now, we aren’t able to reapply for the TH-cam Partner Program until September 30th (I know, insane). Those of you that have already hit your two years of membership will still be getting your member pack in the mail if you haven't already, and am going to do my best to have that reinstated as quick as possible. For those looking to support in the meantime, PayPal will be the place to do so, and I sincerely appreciate those that have supported since that occurred and all those looking to in the future, though it is definitely not expected.
Like many things in life, these past few months have been an incredible blessing in disguise in so many ways, and I couldn’t be more excited for what is to come here in the 502 and in life as a whole. I truly don’t have the proper words to express my gratitude for allowing this channel to be what it is and for us to do what we do, I can’t thank you enough for it. We never had an intention to be like any other channel, and it’s really special to see that unfold here as it has.
To my 502 OGs, thank you. To the new people coming in, welcome, and thank you as well, especially for making it through this whole thing.

Sorry I'm just seeing this man! I've been good, sir, and just not playing as many games right now. Spending more time on projects that have been in the works for a while, some channel related and some not, spending time with family, and just working in general more.
