It was a small world. I was with my unit in Baghdad after I IST'd to WA. One of the Medics doing my Re-Deployment medical screening was a Medic from my first unit in MN. My 2nd Deployment, I ran into an NCO I knew well. I also met my cousin in Kuwait. Both were Red Bulls.
Even I felt the passion behind his speech he gave about what the National Guard does, I teared up a little bit. Maybe it's because I have a brother who is deployed with the National Guard right now. Mayor DeBlasio better hope I never see him out in public, his security detail is gonna have to shoot me to get me off of him.
This is the angriest that I ever saw Angry Cops, he was legitimately pissed off, I think he might have wanted to force his thumbs down DeBlasio's eye sockets... But he was right, fuck that prick and fuck his bullshit.

I was in the ARMY, 1966-1968,got out joined the Merchant Marine,got out joined National Guard in 1980 SUREAS HELL FELT LIKE MILITARY TO ME Deployed to PANAMA . Could not tell any one we were NATIONAL GUARD.
OK OK last last comment but I was medically discharged in basic training, and I remember my other shit bag recruits that quit tease me on the ROP night when I cried. They didn't understand when I told them that unlike them I actually wanted to be a soldier. The reason I was discharged was that I was fat before the army and I was so motivated by my Drill, that I didn't listen to the Field SGT. and I really messed my fat ass up. When I saw my company half a mile away with my Drill, shake their hands and get their patches, I was destroyed. My dream was over, however since them ive trained harder to go back and become the soldier i already am at heart, I just need the title.

When angrycops is talking about pulling bodies up from the World Trade Center it kinda goes to show that even though yes branches may not get along there like siblings they fight sure but they got each other's backs no matter what. I'll point out at least one thing that each branch major branch did for the USA 1) Coast Guard: After the towers collapsed on 9/11 the bridges were closed off going to Manhattan so they went to the sea the Coast Guard sent out a call for any and all sea born vessel to go and rescue survivors off of Manhattan. They ended up transporting more people then they Marines did on D-Day. 2) Navy: After the US found out were the infamous IJN Yamato was the Navy sent over +100 aircraft to sink it when they did the smoke cloud could be seen for tens of miles. They ended up sinking the most heaviest battleship in history only with aircraft. 3) Marine Corp: Landed and took over Iwo Jima during WW2 even though the Japanese had artillery pointed right at were they were taking cover at from the beach they still ended up taking over Iwo Jima. 4) Air Force: Dropped two atomic bombs onto Hiroshima and Nagasaki Japan, ending one of the worst wars in history. 5) Army: Fighting in the third worst campaign in US history known as the Battle of Bulge. Men sitting in freezing cold wether with small amounts of warmth. After the battle over 75,000 men died on the Allies but conflicted over 85,000 to 100,000 Germans on the Axis. All branches have there own victory in one way or another but there also special in there own way as well. PS sorry if I spelt anything wrong or got something wrong some of these topics I haven't really touched in a long time.

It was a hard lesson about riot control tactics, in riot control you always give the rioters a way out, I know because I was trained in riot control.
well, when you leave basic training as a Guardsman or Reservist (Marines too), you get a DD-214 before being released to your home unit... but I guess that doesn't mean you're Military, or a Vet.
As someone in the Army Reserve, I went to a Thanksgiving Party with my church congregation and one female there told me that “I'm not part of the military just a civilian with extra steps”. Now mind you that she's a 18 year old engaged to a Marine and she probably thought that gave her right to say that but I couldn't find it funny since it was purely disrespectful to say that in front of everyone there. Don't ever disrespect anyone serving like that in front of others.
You know, I got woke up today by my neighbor, popping off rounds with his handgun like a crack addled teenager trying to pop his zits. That a-hole was firing so fast there was no way he was trying to be accurate for target practice. I normally don't have a problem with people practicing their 2nd Amendment rights, I enjoy going to the range and popping off rounds as well, but this guy was trying to turn a semi-automatic 9mm into a mini-gun with the way he was spraying dollars out the barrel. I worked at a trapshooting range, would hear thousands of guns off all day, but I was so annoyed I couldn't go back to sleep. So pissed off and tired, I get to my computer, and right there was Angry Cops with a new video, showing an idiot popping off a round online. Some people should not breed, and I vote for Angry Cops to determine if they should or not.
Governor Tim Walz referred to National Guard as 19 Year Old Cooks. He says he's a retired Command Sergeant Major. He retired as a Master Sergeant because he didn't finish his enlistment. He jumped ship before his unit was deployed to Iraq. His Unit 34th ID "Red Bulls". I started with them and have a bunch of friends and a cousin with them. I ended with 81st Brigade in WA. 34th ID had their footprint in Iraq longer than any other unit Army Wide.

yeah....back in the early eighties my dad, a Vietnam Vet (64 Bravo Heavy Truck driver) specifically joined the NG so he could get to drive the new Abrams MBT and play war games out at Irwin for a couple weeks a year. I know that a lot of Guardsmen back then (I don't know how it is now) were early-mid 30s war vets that wanted to play with the new toys...
A local guy was at an indoor range. They got him on video load a pistol, set it down, then pick it up with it aimed to the side(not to the front, down range) and pull the trigger. He shot a lady in the stall next to him through both legs. People can be really stupid.

In 2009 more then half of my boot camp were national guard getting stationed back at fort couch. It was funny though because by the end of boot camp many of them wanted to become active duty.

Not just someone who was in the NG but those who had friends or were children of those in the NG. We suffered the same as other military children growing up. My Dad was gone on deployment for long periods of time to foreign zones like Honduras. I had a friend/co-worker that was in the NG that got deployed to Iraq. I was always worried and wondering if he was ok while he was deployed.

Soon as he didn't take out the magazine and racked the slide a second time, I fucking knew he wouldn't be able to keep his booger picker off the trigger. What did he expect would happen if he didn't take the mag out first? Why the hell does he have a gun when he doesn't know that that magazine would just feed another round in when he racked it?
That idiot is the only reason I think people should actually have some level of training before owning a firearm.

Also, you could absolutely tell how pissed off AC was even just at the beginning of his rant, but I don't think I've seen him get nearly as pissed about anything until that video.
