The whole valve needs to be replaced or just the solenoid? I have a brand new irritrol that is leaking just as you describe. I can watch the chamber fill up with water.
If the valve is brand new then some debris entered the valve diaphragm during installation . So what you do is shut off the water to the valve and unscrew the top part of the valve, clean your parts with water and flush out the remaining part of the valve that’s connected, reassemble and that should take care of it
Hello. My problem is the water will continue to leak from the top of the siphon valve cap. I replaced the siphon valve with a brand new balve cap from home Depot rainbird brand and slso tried ising 2 other used valve caps. What can you suggest? Thank you
1. Make sure that the solenoid is tight. If that doesn’t work, shut the main water off to the valve and take off top part of valve, turn water on them off quickly to flush it out and check top of valve you took off for any dirt and rinse it off good, put it back on and turn main water valve back on to see if that works…. If it doesn’t work then you have to replace the valve. If you have any further questions please let me know.
@@JuanGutierrez-bc6sfyour sprinkler heads down stream is possibly leaking or a crack/leak somewhere allowing the water to flow backwards towards the anti-siphon valve.
@@pc7225 I'm having the same problem as Mr. Gutierrez & Cisneros-water leaking from anti-siphon valve. I changed the diaphragm but still leaking. If I have a leak downstream that should lower the pressure. How does that cause water to backflow towards the anti-siphon valve?

The anti siphon cap leaks only while the water is running, The diaphram's rubber seal appears to be worn under the cap. Any thoughts? Thank youi
I'm having this problem, too. When the zone comes on it's a fountain under that cap.
