I know of many girl's who were beaten up and threatened to sign a Nikah form. These girls were taken to Pakistan under the pretext of a holiday and kept there by force until they got married. There are now laws against this in the UK to protect young girls against this. I work in the legal profession and have seen such cases many times. It is not so prevalent since the laws came into effect. Fear and threats to life do result in forced marriages against the victims will with the collusion of molvi's. I hope you understand and not minimise these crimes. I hope Engineer Saab reads this comment.
