  • Lean how to make amazing Jerk Pulled Pork in this episode of Tasty Tuesday's with Chris De La Rosa of CaribbeanPot.com. Seasoned and marinated in all the wonderful spices of a good Jamaican jerk marinade, then slowly roasted in the oven.. the pork will be fork tender and screaming for bbq sauce. This jerk pulled pork was done in the oven, but it can easily be done on your outdoor grill or bbq during the summer months.
For this jerk pulled pork you'll need...
    A teaspoon each of:
    - ground ginger
    - all spice
    - cinnamon
    - pimenton (hot smoky paprika)
    - nutmeg
    - salt (adjust to your liking)
    - dry mustard
    - crushed pepper flakes
    - dehydrated onion
    2 tablespoon brown sugar (light)
    1 cup orange juice
    2-4 scallions
    6 sprigs fresh thyme
    1 scotch bonnet pepper
    * liquid smoke if you like that stuff
    5-8 lbs pork (cheap cut)

Thanks for the inspiration! How would you advise this recipe to translate to the BBQ? For me the added value of the BBQ is the smokey flavor but starting with covered meat does not add that smokey flavor. First 2 hours low and slow uncovered to pick up the smoke and then adding the thyme, union, juice and then cover it for some hours?

looks great. have you tried this in the slow cooker? I've done shoulders in the slow cooker to god effect. Also, when I do Jerk I use some soy sauce. is there already enough salt in the rub that you dont need to soy?

Is that organic pork, looks rich and dark as to the pale colour you'd associate with pork meat or does the colour just depend on the cut/area. looks DELISH

Chris please find some plastic tipped tongs. When u scrape the metal tongs against the metal pot, pan or bowl etc., it makes a screeching sound that is horrible to my ears. 😁😁This looked delicious! Can't wait to make it.

how about you make a 20 minute video showing us step by step and also including your bbq sauce recipe. If i wanted a bit of video proof and outcomes I'd ask a real chef like Ramsay
