tip: if you use dark oak planks for a floor, put some cartography tables into the floor. the top texture looks like papers on the floor
That's a good idea
The globe would still show, no?
@@FierceOcean yeah but looks like trash or something
I don't want trash on the floor of my castle
@@Undercraft7700lmao, real
this series has inspired me build with no plan
and for the first time in ages i acutally finished a build and done interiors
all with no tutorials
so i would like to thank you for giving me the inspiration or the idea of just winging it and see were imagination takes you.
That's awesome
currently i have 2 videos on my yt channel showing my world its kinda lousely inspired by gravity falls so its goimg to have a big deep forrest around it 😃 {sorry if this seams like a self promo btw
Same thing here.
The modpack inspired me to buy a server and invite my friends.
The videos inspired me to build.
And it's been going great so far.
Me too
This playlist with "building without a plan" is THE best .
You should make like a pirate cove with that ship mod
omg yes
Tips for that ship mod, build the ship floating above the water, then assemble and drop it in. Also, blocks have weight. Stone is heavier than wood etc. The heaviest weight is a Netherite block iirc, and the floaters wont make things float above the level theyre placed at, so sneak them into the build around where you want the water level to be. They basically add "negative weight" to the part of the ship theyre on, so add more near the heavier parts, most ships wont require more than a handful of floaters. Also, the balloons are for airships.
I saw some of the textures were missing for him, and for me as well. Do you know anything about that or how to fix it?
@@goldfishmentality could be something to do with one of the other mods or shaders effecting the rendering? Either that or something being overwritten maybe?
Tbh that requires less specific knowledge about this mod and more general modding knowledge which i dont have sadly.
@@starofaetherius thats fair, ty for the reply!
flowstate building with no plan is a very exciting thing to see
It’s so cool how your able to take ideas form another thing and turn it into your own build, not copy the refrence, but use it as a cutout, it’s a very cool trait
After seeing your first "castle without a plan" video, I had to try and make my own. I love your style of videos, it's one of the few things that lets me really understand the building process, most things I've seen are just timelapses, it's so helpful to hear what you're thinking as you do it. I'm trying to get better at building, and these videos have helped me so much!
Tip: You are able to use shears to prevent vines from growing too long. To my knowledge, it works on glowberries, kelp, and all three types of vines.
I love your building style for partially overgrown buildings.
oh thats so cool i'm using that for my build tysm
This either isn’t true or is brand new on java😅😅
@BananaBotanists I usually play on java, and I was playing on 1.20.4 when I used this trick. It should make a snipping sound when you right-click at the bottom of the vine.
This should work because I did it with kelp, and it hasn't grown longer since.
@@gentlemen_studios I hope this makes it to Bedrock😔
It's entertaining.
I learn a lot.
Visually pleasing.
Totally relaxing.
Great videos all in all. Thank you
I've only watched a few of your videos but I've learned that if you want a cliff, *you will make a cliff*
I have severe anxiety and your videos help me relax a lot, you are the best man! ❤️
This has really become one of my favorite channels. Its super relaxing, especially after a long day of Uni. Thank you so much for everything!
The way you speak and edit these videos makes them way more watchable than many other build videos I've found, and it's inspired me to try making my own builds again. I made a small enchanting room in my survival world, so that's a good start
When you used chains as spokes on the tent, instead of using carpet what you could do is dig down 2 blocks then place a fence. Then you can place a a block on top of the fence to make it look like it’s going into the ground. None the less, build looks great as always 👍
this videos really helped me see building in a new light, bit of a perfectionist myself with my autism, but you've shown me it's ok if everything isn't exactly perfect, you can just mix things up abit for texturing.
I will for sure try to let myself know that for later on in my future buildings. :D
This is literally my favorite thing to watch ever. Never stop please
Yo I plan on making videos like yours soon.
i love the Bob Ross vibes this gives me! love this series, you inspired me to start building in minecraft again, i used to do a lot of these!!
Welcome back to Complimentary!
I love these building videos, such an inspiration!
Also I'm definitely gonna play around with Eureka! Ships! in my world
Would be cool to see you make a half finished build where its still in construction with a medieval crane and scaffolding. Just to make it feel more real and alive.
Edit: Nevermind you actually did it in the video lol
Great video as aways, btw at 12:40, you can use solar panels as thrusters. And this new mod gives so many good ideas too! Make an Movable and functional Warship, and call it the bob leviathan.
i’m eating pasta guys
I absolutely love these videos so much so they have re ignited my passion to play minecraft and I've started making builds again keep doing what your doing I love it.
What I like to do sometimes, when I want to create a ruined castle, is that I build it like it is brand new but I add a lot of detail, like gravel being inside the thick walls and beams going through where they should and no stone structures based on top of wooden floors (but no furniture). Then I remove all or most of the wood, remove a lot of blocks to show the castle being old, add texture to it (like mossy cobblestone) and lastly some plants and trees. Making it look like the entire thing is a bit lowered into the ground can also look cool. This all makes everything show, and it looks really "realistic" in my opinion. All the pillars, towers and valves create a stunning effect. Try it some time maybe.
This man single handedly inspired me to go build again. Sadly on bedrock but getting a pc soon and immediately getting vanilla and downloading better adventures+
Amazing build, I love how you are doing both creative and survival videos and i can’t wait for both the next creative video you show and the next hardcore survival episode lol, keep it up!
I love these videos so much. It has brought so much inspiration to me to start building again but with a different perspective.
Thanks for adding the new songs! :) --Capn Stinky
Try making an nether or end build for the next episode! love this series sm
Love to have been following this building without a plan series! Keep it ut mate, you're in the flowstate.
You could have the ship perpendicular to the dock, and make the hull have a big hold in the centre. It would be reminiscent to classic pirate ships. And since it’s pillagers, it would fit the theme.
Missed opportunity to turn the failed boat project into an old shipwreck.
One of my favorite ways to add texture and depth is to replace some of the blocks in the wall with stairs facing outward, it’s just a small little crevice but it looks great
Some parts of the reminds me of a sort of old Italian restaurant. The vibes are great dude,
"let me reset this rq" BEST WORDS OF MY LIFE
idk why but i love watching these videos
i dont know why, but this build, especially because of the rebel/outlaw like pillager camp, just makes me think of rdr2
For sure I got that vibe too, like Guarma
man really love this series, dont stop bro
I love your content bro, keep up the grind 🫶
your videos are always so inspiring, it makes me want to go build things. ive also learned a lot just from some of the tips you give throughout the videos
Here's a tip for glow berries: unlike vines, you don't actually have to put string underneath to stop them from growing. You can just use shears on the bottom and it'll do the same thing without the faint line
Your videos are so easy to watch man. Keep it up!
great build, thanks for sharing :D
this vid was honestly so fun to watch
i love these kind of videos
Hey man really cool vid watching it at school dude you get better every time good luck with the server 👍👍👍👍
You should make a Clarence village on the crater
PD: I think it could’ve been interesting if the original castle was a Terrance outpost and there where some abandoned shooting grounds around the castle
Have you heard about nyf's spiders(mod)? It is a really cool mod which changes the spider AI to find the best way to get to you, but also makes it climb all ways(yes, even the ceiling) like a real spider, very clean. Would be cool in your modpack in my opinion
Yeah I used to have it in the modpack but I got rid of it
Your videos never fails to calm me down❤ thx flow
Again and agin, love it !
Love these build videos
I love these ngl
The way you editing, adding sound effects, beautiful music makes it more satisfying to watch. Can you try someday Pirate Vibe Style thing??
More of these videos please 🙏❤️
You inspire me so much ngl. Like i watch your videos and immediately want to build as well. Keep the vibes up😊
SAME MAN
You're like the Bob Ross of building
i don’t even watch minecraft related stuff on youtube but i absolutely love these building videos, u got something special man keep it up
vids r chill asf
Hey flowstate, if you see this comment, i inspire from your builds and ive achieved so much more in minecraft. I wanna also suggest using the debug stick for some texture in builds ❤
i love your videos so much be proud!
Commenting for the algorithm. Man you are on a roll with these videos!
going crazy w the uploads
This is exactly why Minecraft is the best game ever
Bringing imagination to life is the main purpose for games but Minecraft takes it to the next level.thank you mojang for make this haven.and thank you flow state for bringing our imagination to life
man you are so good at visualizing. and i am so bad at it. you look at a blank terrain and can imagine a whole damn castle. i would love to have at least 20% of your skills.
Been loving the building with no plan videos. I think it could be really cool if you tried a more modern or even urban build some time. Keep up the vids 👍👍
I appreciate that, I'll consider it
great video!
30 seconds in, lets hope this world doesn't get corrupted
Yeah ik it’s gonna be a great night when I see one of these vids posted
It would be cool if you put modern buildings incorporated with some ruins. Like the people found the ruins and built a new base on top of it
Yay,another building with no plan vid
This episode felt more energized than just chill. Different but not opposed to it.
One time me and my friend played a modpack I assembled and it had eureka airships. I was testing it and i accidentally pick up out whole land base. Well at least it motivated us to get out lol
Something you can do for tnt to give it more variety is use red candles and it looks like little sticks of dynamite 👍
That's a great idea
very nice build keep it up! (if you sheer the bottom of glow berries they dont grow)
Flowstate constantly forgetting to finish the stables 😂
The sunken ship adds more imo. Like the pillagers didn’t choose to be here.
Yeah
avenge the castle!
I'd like to see him build with no plan on a superflat world
The beta smp was so fun. I was building my base and got tp’d into spawn with everyone else and then my pc crashed👍
Hell yeah
My PC barely survived when everything was teleported to one area. While my PC survived. I did not :(
I literally have been coming and checking your channel daily to see if the distant horizons let's play video has released lol. It's the coolest thing on youtube rn
Sorry I've been focusing a lot on building lately, been having fun with it. Might return to survival soon
@@flowstatevideo No worries man! Love your channel!
Man! I hope to see more better advanture plus eps.
It probably wouldn't work because of the differences in terrain but you should consider porting or transferring some of your builds to the Flow SMP. It would be really cool to just randomly stumble across one of your unique builds.
That'd be cool actually yeah
Damn we need a ship mod for console!!
Yahoo another building video :D
The bob ross of Minecraft 🔥
The boat thing was too funny man
Yeah it was a shame
W, getting flashbacks to the ideas incident in discord
When we see a flowsate video we must click, and enjoy watching the masterpiece that his videos always are.
I'd like to see a video in survival mode, recently been building moderately sized structures in a survival world and it's been pretty fun and fulfilling as you (usually) have a use for it, like with mods I can use my ship to travel and as a base far from home, I think a video doing that would be really cool
“Mom drop everything flowstate uploaded” 🔥🔥
Small but helpful tip: instead of strings for glow berries, just use scissors.
Glow berries will not grow after that.
Like shears?
@@flowstatevideo yeah, if you right click it at the end of the current length it'll stop growing, i think if you break that part or right click it again it should be able to grow again.
I just realized that this is the manly equivalent of "playing house"
Not fully done with the vid yet but dude the stables should totally be for ravagers! Cause, pillagers!
I like how he said I want to build up these edges a little bit and took out TNT
Can't really say I've ever been this early to something. Let alone a video about a game.
I'll be scared to see a day when he builds *with* a plan
YES SIR!!!!!!!!!
I'll be truly honest with ya....i don't plan builds either! I just wait for ideas to pop into my head🔥
You should start using invisible item frames. I don't actually remember how to get them (I think its a command only item). But it would really improve the builds.
