Being honest, what was the point of the music box intro? Felt totally out of place. Anyway
Banger of a remix, although it's a little short and what you hear the most is the last part of Hartmann's Youkai Girl. I mean I like it, but not like ULiL version

Music box remixes of certain tracks/themes tend to be symbolic for memories, events of the past, something Koishi threw away when she closed her third eye.
The music box section could actually be Satori reflecting on the past with a music box that plays a remix of Koishi's theme when opened with the later section of this remix being Koishi "playing" in the middle of a danmaku battle.
"Koishi Komeiji is a satori, a type of youkai that can read minds. The way they read minds is via the third eye "floating" near their body. However at some point in her life Koishi closed her third eye resulting in her ability changing from "Reading Minds" to "Manipulating the unconscious mind" resulting in her technically being more dangerous than most youkai due to anyone who encounters her losing any recollection of her encounter making Koishi far more deadly than some youkai.
Koishi is, by technically, invisible to anyone unless noticed. Meaning unless someone spots her she could do literally anything to cause trouble but unfortunately (or fortunately, depends on how one would look at it) she's is constantly unconscious during anything resulting in her having a very small attention span.
At one point Koishi unknowingly stole several things, two of them being Kokoro's mask and Sumireko's Smartphone. From what info I could gather neither of the items got returned to their owners.
Like mentioned before Koishi isn't actually easy to encounter due to her ability making her invisible to everyone around her with a few exceptions. Because her "mindset" is like that of a child's she just "thinks" she's playing."
In the game in the little sister contest event is mentioned that the player is capable of notice her very quickly, that even Satori doesn't notice until the player see her (making Satori feel like there something unusual about it)

Am I the only one that thinks the transition at the start sounds incredibly weird? I do like the ost as a whole but at 0:20 - 0:23, it sounds off.

it's very straight to the point which is exciting, because even if the song itself is repetitive it makes itself as short and catchy as possible for one loop
