  • There will be more Hacked Flysky content coming!
    This is the video that I followed when I hacked mine: • FlySky GT3B (GT3C / GT...
    And this show how to do initial setup and config: • FlySky GT3B GT3C Turni...
    Here is the link to the radios:

    Recievers:

    I would recommend hacking it yourself if you are semi handy. The little programmer costs like...five bucks or something.
    These remotes are incredible once hacked. You can have 8 channels to use! You can easily set the endpoints and trims on each channel. Configure any button to do anything you want, have 4WS and DIG handled in the controller with no extra electronics needed on the vehicle.

    This Tx is great even without the hack. Best bang for your buck. I had the gtb but, I didn't like the ergos. I got the limited edition titanium one.

    I upgraded a radio shack bug with my GT3C and redcat motor and esc . but it goes in reverse. I even switched wires around. So can you set the GT3C to make it go forward?

    • @techsmechs4553
      @techsmechs4553  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. If you go to the Rev menu and select whatever channel your esc is on

  • @dsdahustla
    @dsdahustla 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    With the hack are the endpoints raised like from 120 to 140?

    • @techsmechs4553
      @techsmechs4553  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dustin Sauls I think you can adjust that in one of the menus. Global menu perhaps

  • @secretagb

    Why did you recommend the 3B for FPV?

    • @techsmechs4553
      @techsmechs4553  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      secretagb it uses around 12v for power. This will also run an external Jr module (see that video) such as a LRS for Fpv. The GT3C only runs off of a 1S lipo... Which does not have the power to run a Jr module

    • @secretagb
      @secretagb 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah ok just due to power supply. I thought maybe there was some other technical capability difference. Thanks!

    • @techsmechs4553

    Thanks for the video mate. I just bought one because the 3b I bought kept losing signal on my 5T and the kill switch would kill the engine. After about 20 meters away the signal would be erratic. I’d back off the throttle and the car would keep going for half a second before it went into failsafe. I’m hoping this 3C will be better.

    hi. great video. I did everything and I use some additional options with my 3ch receiver. I tried to bind the same 8ch receiver noted here and it shows like it's binded (led stops blinking when transmitter turned on holding bind button) but when switched on again with just power into it and transmitter ON, the light blinks very fast, faster then when in binding mode. Help!

    Can this radio be used for RC 1/10 drifting? Is it any possibilities to change the frequency/band in case of someones radio overrides your own radio? Great video btw, precuating this so much. Greeting from Norway!

    • @techsmechs4553
      @techsmechs4553  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep no reason why it wouldn't! I think the frequency selection works pretty good. It hops around the freq's I believe so that there is no interference. Many models can be ran at once

  • @blakelove7588
    @blakelove7588 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    So, they can do all this fancy stuff with the custom firmware BUT they cant change that GINORMOUS writing to a normal size and they cant have more than a 3 letter model name, wow

      Woopass125 yeah I am pretty sure it has a bearing on the steering wheel. Gt3b you had to add a bearing. This one comes with it

    • @emmanuelhud1
      @emmanuelhud1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Otiesh Francis
      not ver good when it comes to rang mabe like 150m out there is a delayed response. but. it's very stable other than that. if your on the fence weather to buy it. no doubt its worth the money. battery runs out quick tho. still 7 out of 10 i'd say

    • @techsmechs4553
      @techsmechs4553  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is long enough range for how I drive. I haven't noticed any delay either

  • @MrJoris666

    Interesting! What's the range of this radio?

    • @techsmechs4553
      @techsmechs4553  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      At least as far as my stock Traxxas radio. The GT3B can support external modules so then the range will be as far as those modules.

    • @MrJoris666
      @MrJoris666 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Techs Mechs I didn't know about the modules. What other modules can it hold? Is it just plug and play?

    • @techsmechs4553
      @techsmechs4553  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, these radios have a PPM pin you can tap onto. Then find battery voltage (too low on the GT3C but the GT3B uses 12V...and then the PPM, 12v, and GND pins can plug into a JR module. It is not plug and play though. You have to solder pins on the inside

    • @MrJoris666
      @MrJoris666 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Techs Mechs I see, thank you!

  • @TheWhiteAfghan

    Do you feel this radio with the hack is better than fs-it4s?

    • @techsmechs4553
      @techsmechs4553  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have one to directly compare, but I can't imagine something that the fs-it4 could do that a hacked Flysky GT3C couldn't do

    • @TheWhiteAfghan
      @TheWhiteAfghan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Techs Mechs the display on the fsit4 is and latency is make me want it

    • @techsmechs4553
      @techsmechs4553  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      True that. The display on these radios is a weak point. Not too sure about latency though

    • @TheWhiteAfghan
      @TheWhiteAfghan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Techs Mechs from what I been reading 20ms and fsit4 it 5ms

    • @TheWhiteAfghan
