It definitely added some weight, but we also removed some weight... upgrading the motor added weight, but it holds us well. We actually both stood at the back with the motor and were good. I would say the frame itself weighted, maybe 65lbs, then the boxes added probably 10 to 15 lbs. Most the aluminum was 1/8"
Nice boat upgrade! I will say if it was me, I would be worried about going for a hook set and accidently falling into the feet holes LOL
