Install Popcorn-Time on Kali Linux
Step 1 - Open Terminal
Step 2 - Download the latest Popcorn Time binaries and extract it into your choice of directory. I will extract it in /opt/popcorn-time/.
mkdir /opt/popcorn-time
wget get.popcorntim...
tar -xf Popcorn-Time-0.3.10-Linux-64.tar.xz -C /opt/popcorn-time/
Step 3 - Create a launch link of Popcorn-Time for terminal
sudo ln -sf /opt/popcorn-time/Popcorn-Time /usr/bin/popcorn-time
Step 4 - Create Desktop launcher to launch Popcorn time from unity dash or program launcher.
sudo vi /usr/share/applications/popcorntime.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Version = 1.0
Type = Application
Terminal = false
Name = Popcorn Time
Exec = /usr/bin/popcorn-time
Icon = /opt/popcorn-time/src/app/images/popcorntime.png
Categories = Application;
Step 5 - Execute below commands to install dependent library libgconf-2-4.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libgconf-2-4
Step 6 - Execute the following command to open popcorn-time
/opt/popcorn-time/Popcorn-time
