On ne parle pas assez de ce grand bonhomme qu'est claude Bolling; Pour les passionés de bon jazz, de "swing" CB demeure un vrai régal à diffuser le plus largement possible, à faire écouter par vos amis,votre petite amie, votre femme de ménage, dans votre cabinet médical enfin partout où vous le pourrez.

Personally, was an avid listener back to Glen Miller orchestra during the mid 40ties, as a 9 yr kid. The Big Band Music as I knew it back then, still fantastic - now, in my 83rd year' never stopped dancing to terrific music..
I still remember seeing this in Guadalaja. They played in the "Hospicio Cabanas". My gosh it was incredible. The agenda was a two part concert, mostly covering Duke Ellington material... And that was great, no doubt... The female singer had to put the microphone away because of feed back (and nope, those 18 metal instruments didn't affect the microphone; to be honest she didn't really need it). And the male singer made some incredible sax like vocalizations. Also the cast was mindboggling, more than one was the director of a conservatory. But when they finished, many left. But the encore ended up being a complete set on it's own. And now they came back to play some crude 30's style agressive jazz... It was incredible. Bolling was so lively, everyone was on their toes no hold barred, Bolling played a few solo pieces, they were electrifying. It was fantastic, I mean I'm not sure if I was on my teens or younger but I remember. Someone recorded it (with a hand held recorder) how I wish I had a copy, but thanks to this video I can take a seat and listen what some of the worlds finest musicians are discussing. Concert fabuleux. J'aurais aimé y assister. Heureusement, je possède le cd et le dvd. De même tout ses albums en big band (26). J'ai conçu un album de 400 pages sur la carrière de Claude Bolling… Bollington.
Où peut-on se procurer cet album, cher ami bollinguien ?
On ne parle pas assez de ce grand bonhomme qu'est claude Bolling; Pour les passionés de bon jazz, de "swing" CB demeure un vrai régal à diffuser le plus largement possible, à faire écouter par vos amis,votre petite amie, votre femme de ménage, dans votre cabinet médical enfin partout où vous le pourrez.

c'est sur que les médias ne font pas leur travail ! mis à part de nous abreuver de merdes publicitaires et des " émissions secret story et autres "nouvelles stars " ....qu'on attend toujours !

Personally, was an avid listener back to Glen Miller orchestra during the mid 40ties, as a 9 yr kid.
The Big Band Music as I knew it back then, still fantastic - now, in my 83rd year' never stopped dancing to terrific music..

I still remember seeing this in Guadalaja. They played in the "Hospicio Cabanas". My gosh it was incredible. The agenda was a two part concert, mostly covering Duke Ellington material... And that was great, no doubt...
The female singer had to put the microphone away because of feed back (and nope, those 18 metal instruments didn't affect the microphone; to be honest she didn't really need it). And the male singer made some incredible sax like vocalizations. Also the cast was mindboggling, more than one was the director of a conservatory.
But when they finished, many left. But the encore ended up being a complete set on it's own. And now they came back to play some crude 30's style agressive jazz... It was incredible. Bolling was so lively, everyone was on their toes no hold barred, Bolling played a few solo pieces, they were electrifying. It was fantastic, I mean I'm not sure if I was on my teens or younger but I remember.
Someone recorded it (with a hand held recorder) how I wish I had a copy, but thanks to this video I can take a seat and listen what some of the worlds finest musicians are discussing.
