man that looks like fun. recently caught one jigging for walleye and big head shakes heavy weight big bend in rod all fun stuff. watched the old trolling show u did there back in the yar craft days. have eaten smaller lake trout in Lake Michigan not sure what strain fresh grilled unbelievable clean mild taste just plain good.

Nice job Jason! Making me wanna get out of the house and head north. If you ever need a hand on an ice fishing trip out west, say the word. I would be happy to provide all of the gear to save you guys from pulling a trailer in the winter. Just hop a plane and I could grab you guys at the airport. Cascade, Henry’s Flaming Gorge etc... Thanks for sharing such great content! Tight lines.
That sounds like a plan! We definitely want to spend more time out west and hope to do a trip this winter. Especially Caacade!

Great video. I fish peck all summer and have found using the number 6 screen I think it is...black background anyway, really shows the fish, your line and lure well in deep water. Jigged up six this morning. Great way to fish peck!
Jason on another note salmo has discontinued the white fish line sadly. I use the jointed ones here from April through ice and am running low. Salmo has not returned my emails, wondering if you know why they quit making them and if they have a back stock?

Yes the Whitefish is an awesome lure. Had a following with the musky crowd as well. Believe Salmo discontinued because they didn’t sell many. Might find some on line fish

Curious why you prefer braid over mono/fluoro?
Like the no stretch of braid over deep water for setting the hook.
Curious on rod/reel/line/leader setup for this type of fishing
I am using a Scheels Walleye Series bait casting rod in 7 foot MH action and using a Scheels Low Pro Line Counter reel with 20 lb Power Pro.
