the gray pack has more wear than the my other flat pack. the packs seem to hold up better mounted to a carrier. i use the gray pack more and i not noticed any failure points on the harness or the body of the pack.
hard answer. i 90% of the time use the flat pack plus. i like how the pack fully opens. i feel that i can do more with the pack. the flat pack i usually use foe a camel back and some smaller items to carry. so in my opinion its the flat pack plus.
