1997 Motocross Action Magazine (back when they did good bike tests), 250cc bike of the year. Great motor (for the tracks back then), great shock and pretty good forks, (slap down landings hurt your hands a bit). I got fast on CCC Michigan whooped out trails on that bike around 2000/2001. Real fast.
@@EarthSurferUSA yeah for sure. Great engines real fast lots of power only problem I have they were the heaviest bike by 96. Was starting to get outdated absolutely great bikes, the most powerful 250s I’ve ever ridden but a little heavy thanks for the comment.
If you rode that bike, especially in the trail, then you’d know you absolutely need those bark busters. Without the bark busters you could destroy you hands and the bars.
@@wambathewisefool2893 yeah this is a great machine. I love it. I actually erased it in August. You can check it out on my channel. Only issue was suspension was a little soft.👍
The stick cylinder plating was not very good. If it has 3 good summers on it, it may be wearing out. I had my re-plated at US Chrome in Fondulac Wisconsin. Did a great job. That was around 1999, and cost about $150.00.
@@EarthSurferUSA engine has a fresh rebuild, not broken in yet cylinder was nickel plated had to be sent to Montreal five hours away only ones who do it around here but did a great job. Bike runs amazing. I can’t believe the power this 250 has
I would love to have that bike. I know many many women and men feel the same way
Looking good Mike,I’m still rocking my 03 KX100 and 04 KXF250 🤙🏻
I had that exact same bike. It was a beast.
They’re great bikes👍
