Hello! Raised cattle for years and maybe my tips will help you out. Here is our story: we raised heifers many years with substantial fertility success. We purchased 3 absolutely beautiful heifers from our state university farm. I advised against this purchase because these heifers were too fat. However, they were lookers and my husband won. Lol. Long story short; not one produced successfully. We again had 100% fertility with our herd...and the new gals either stayed open, refused to nurse their calf, or had weak calves. I intentionally left out naming the breed and the university. However, be careful purchasing gals that may have been fed like steers. One more bit of information: the purchased heifers were not related. They were registered stock so we knew the problem was a familial one. Txs for reading and great video!
Hi, great video and very informative. A little constructive criticism, background music way too loud and distracting over interview, best interviews are no music at all, or very subtle, personally. But otherwise great vid.
You must love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. You must love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus the anointed is Lord! Repent and be baptized and believe the Gospel.
Great question Junie! While Dr. Houghton's operation was based in a feedlot-type scenario, heifers can be developed in any scenario. Our producers mainly develop their own heifers and our goal with this video is to provide insight on different management practices to do so. Her suggestions can be applied to any heifer development situation. Does that answer your question?
I love her method and how she broke the webinar down so that a newbie as myself could understand, her way of development would definitely work for me, if possible could you let her know that I would love to pick her brain thanks
Heck no Only grass feed Feed lots are for government controlled media brainwashed foods Grow a cow naturally Grass feed rotate every day Let the mom wean Why change nature To a factor industrial style
Thanks!

Very helpful to expert and young producers.
Great. Thx.
Hope you all counter this with some Joel Salatin vids to be well informed.
I’m crying. 😂😂
So at weaning if you’re gonna keep all your heifers they need to be developed in a feed lot?

On the behalf of corporate agriculture, the Biden administration is cracking down on independent, family-owned farms and farming.
Any credible source?
@@Doesitreallymstter the Biden admin is anti anything American, don’t think we need a source to see that!
