Lesotho is one of Africa's smallest and poorest
countries, a 12,000 square mile area completely
surrounded by white-ruled South Africa. Its Prime
Minister, Chief Leabua Jonathan, has always been
regarded by Pretoria as one of black Africa's least
troublesome leaders. But the Chief publicly declared
his support for African nationalist freedom fighters in
their struggle against the white governments of
southern Africa. In this report we take a close look at
Lesotho, examine its recent history and question
Chief Jonathan on his attitudes to the giant white-ruled
    neighbour on his doorstep.

Wow the part of Maseru they showed looked so clean back then now it's the filthiest and the smell of urine permeates the air. And oh factory workers seem quite happy back then if you sing about dreaming of the firm having grown while working at that firm .I think it's safe to say Lesotho was heading in the right direction

This video and other historical accounts make it clear that Ntate Johnathan stood on the right side of history regarding the South African question. We should be proud of him where that is concerned.

Lesotho was a de facto Bantustan due to the British. This man is a hypocrite.

Couldn't agree more. It was just another Bantustan territory of the Apartheid South Africa.
