Halloween is actually from the Celtic world. A very long time ago people in Scotland and Ireland used to leave milk, and food on their doorsteps for the dearly departed spirits to have. Bad spirits came out, too, and to confuse them people used to dress as ghosts and other creepy creatures so the bad spirits wouldn't harm them. Anyway, Halloween changed a lot over the centuries, and became popular in America and Canada. In the old country (Scotland, and Ireland) people used to hollow out turnips. Here, in Canada and the U.S., we carve faces in pumpkins, and put lights or candles in them. I love your pumpkins and their faces. They are great! TFS! ~Janet in Canada
@@mastersadvocate Hi, yeah I'm pagan, so I'm very aware of the origins of Halloween and Christmas. But in this video I was talking about the commercialised version of Halloween that is around and that in England it isn't really celebrated much compared to America x
