Yes, we have got Sri Rama Betta near Ramanagar. Here lord Rama has created a pond by an arrow and great thing is the water will be there throughout the year and has never dried. No one know how deep it is. Ramayana and Mahabharata is our treasure.
In Sri Rama Betta there is Sri Rama, Seta devi, Lord Lakshmana and Hanuman idol which is of Ramayana age. Temple is next to that pond only. The temple's chariot had fallen into the pond by accident but no one could recover it as the pond is very deep. Some say Sugreva was taking those idols along with him to his place to worship but was stopped by a demon near this place. To fight and kill that demon Sugreva kept those sacred idols here and killed the demon. After this he was very disappointed as he could not lift the idols again and Akashvani said to keep those idols there only, for the better of the future. So he went empty handed leaving those sacred idol in Sri Rama Betta. It is nice place, government of Karnataka has declared it as valture century. We have to climb many steps to reach the temple. And there are few more places around this Betta to visit. There is no ticket as per my understanding. Safe to visit this place. Roads are good. But carry food as no hotels or shop near the temple.
