One Flight, Three Fails: PARAMOTORING Doesn’t always go right !

- Not all Paramotor flights go well and ‘One Flight, Three Fails’ is an honest review of such a flight to share with you on TH-cam.
A few repairs to do, but nothing major, just waiting for parts ! - Nil wind take off’s remain my biggest challenge and my next stage is not to shy away from these, but keep practicing, getting my take off’s filmed so I can analyse and gaining advice from more experienced pilots to try to iron out a few problems !!!

Thoroughly enjoy your videos. Currently fly a Cessna180 but am aging and looking to take up powered paragliding when I sell the plane. You are making it look like the right decision. Keep 'em coming.
@@dougfisher7197 thanks Doug for the kind words. Paramotoring was a life changing experience, such freedom. My next video should hopefully be ‘when everything goes right!!!’ - fixed my starter so I’m back in the air!!!!!!!!!! 👍
Particularly enjoyed the 'nose plant' video -- had the entire family in tears laughing. Have been using 'phookin' hell' ever since.

hi always nice to see you fly your paramotor. the parajet frame is very strong ..🙂flying is a bit like life it has its ups and downs... and that reminds me MURPHYS LAW.? and live and learn or learn and live. . and yes the poxey weather is getting on my nerves. with all the air hours I have ... it never means I am perfect. even if I don't fly within two weeks... it's like taking steps back. i recently bought a brand new wing a dudek hadron 3. The last time I flew that was at the 2024 parafest event.! i have a few other wings. an old viper 3 . a not-so-old viper 4. and a very old dudek reaction that saved my life once... i will never ever get rid of that...that's another story. NO MORE PARAFEST EVENT FOR ME.!
Interesting - The Dudek saved your life.....? Do tell? Yeah, I always get a bit of pre flight nerves if I haven't flown for a few weeks, then as soon as your feet leave the ground it all goes away and you wonder what all the fuss was about !!!!!!! - Yeah, the Parajet V3 is a beast and great to learn on as I have had a couple of butt landings; not even a scratch !
@@MidFlightCrisis sorry iam late..fear...? managing it as you probably know can help. and not panic.the parajet v3 .. is strong. my old dudek reaction...30m. seems really big now compared to the wings we fly now...the story maybe 2025.

@MidFlightCrisis last launch was awesome, landing was safe (ish) controlled (ish) crash..
Steep learning curve but well worth the effort.
More people need this in their lives!!

I don't know your name, unless I'm not paying attention? What cams do you use both headcam and polecam, the same or both different? I bet you've learned a hige amount this last year. Great vid about what really happens.
@@NickJeins hey there, thanks. I’ve got a crappy old go pro hero 4 on my head- no stability software so a bit bumpy and on my selfie stick a go pro hero 12 which is much better.

You never know what paramotoring will throw at you next! Just wondering why you guys were halfway down the field, was it for noise abatement with the house at the top? On landing I usually don't cut the engine until I'm 3-4 feet off the ground "just in case". I've made that mistake before and almost hit a hedge. You landed safe though!
@@markallisonparamotor the little wind we had kept changing so it moved us down to that part of the field. Also, absolutely right, there is a house that is owned by someone who isn’t a 100% Paramotor fan ! - yeah, if I’m honest, I cut my engine a bit too soon when I thought I was going to land in the middle! But I just kept going……..👍
Paramotors are a lot of fun but they are constant maintenance. You’ll be back in the air in no time. Hope parts arrive quickly. Enjoy that retirement!
Cheers Mike. Paramotor pilots all help each other out and the (apparent) next day delivery parts didn't come, but they rallied round and helped me, so Paramotor back up and running 100%, once parts arrive I can give them back to the guys I begged, borrowed and stole from !!!!!!!!. Now.....just need the weather !

I'll disagree, missing that stone wall screams that it was a good take off..... taking off a leg on that wall is bad but you got to fly

@@ParamotorKY hey, thanks for the kind words my friend. Yeah, moral of the story is to stop being confident in my field size and cutting the engine too high! Should really leave it running until a lot lower incase of trouble! I’d have been able to open the throttle and go round again! We live and learn!!!!!! 🫡
