He is an abuser, plain and simple, does nothing to curb his grandmother’s irrational maliciousness, does not protect what is his-his wife-regardless of how he ended up married to Dilan, Does not send Derya packing immediately for orchestrating Dilan’s disappearance (though he knows Derya was involved). How can anybody stand this?? This is a story of archaic abuse, plain and simple, and there’s nothing romantic about this. Is this supposed to represent an acceptable form of love?
